Leading global operator Kaizen Gaming has officially launched its Betano brand in Ghana, establishing its presence in the West African nation as part of its continued international expansion strategy.

The launch represents the company’s 20th regulated market worldwide and its first new market entry in 2026.

The operator marked the occasion with a dedicated launch event in Accra, which brought together senior Kaizen Gaming representatives and Ghanaian regulatory officials.

George Skarlatos, Director of Business Development, Daniel Lamberti, Senior Business Development Advisor, and Joseph Owusu Badu, Country Manager for Ghana, attended alongside Mr Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo, Acting Commissioner for the Gaming Commission of Ghana.

Structured regulatory environment attracts international operator

Ghana’s appeal to Kaizen Gaming lies in its combination of growing digital adoption, long-term market potential, and a developing regulatory framework. The company has made sure its products are aligned with local regulatory standards from the start.

George Skarlatos, Director of Business Development at Betano, said:

“Ghana is a market with strong long-term potential, an increasingly tech-oriented population, and a clear commitment to building a structured and transparent regulatory environment,” Skarlatos commented.

“Through our strong local partnerships, and with responsibility fully embedded across our technology, processes and operations, we are fully aligned with Ghana’s regulatory framework to support a safe, well-functioning and trusted experience for all players from day one.”

The Ghanaian regulator welcomed the operator’s entry into the market, highlighting the importance of maintaining high operational standards.

Mr Emmanuel Siisi Quainoo, Acting Commissioner of the Ghana Gaming Commission, added:

“We welcome Betano’s entry into Ghana. Ensuring high standards are met by all operators is crucial in safeguarding player protection and maintaining market integrity. Kaizen Gaming and Betano show clear commitment to these principles, and we look forward to their continued cooperation and focus on upholding safe operations for all.”

Expansion follows award-winning 2025 performance

The Ghana launch comes after a notable year for Kaizen Gaming in 2025. The company secured “Operator of the Year” titles at both the EGR Operator Awards and the SBC Awards for the second consecutive year, reinforcing its position within the global gaming industry.

Beyond industry recognition, Kaizen Gaming announced a global partnership with FIFA for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025. The operator has also strengthened its international football presence through partnerships with prominent clubs including FC Bayern München, Aston Villa FC, FC Porto, Sporting CP, SL Benfica, Club Atlético River Plate, and Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.

Technology and responsibility underpin growth strategy

Kaizen Gaming’s approach to market expansion centres on technological infrastructure and responsible gaming principles. The company employs more than 3,000 people globally and maintains operations across Europe, the Americas, and now Africa.

The operator has indicated that local partnerships will play a key role in its Ghanaian operations, providing customers with access to sports betting and casino experiences backed by its technology platform and responsible gaming protocols.

As Ghana’s gaming sector continues to mature under regulatory guidance, Betano’s presence may influence how other international operators approach the West African market.
