ICONIC21 covers the stake on blackjack doubles
- ICONIC21 launches Free Double & Split Blackjack, an unlimited-seat live blackjack game.
- The house funds doubles on a hard 9, 10 or 11 and splits on pairs from 2s to 9s and Aces.
- A Push on 22 rule balances the added player advantage for operators.
ICONIC21 has unveiled Free Double & Split Blackjack, a live, unlimited-seat version of the classic game. Announced today on 3 November 2026, the title sees the house put up the extra stake when a player doubles down or splits on an eligible hand.
Free second wager
The core blackjack experience stays familiar. The difference centres on two of the game’s most important decisions: doubling and splitting.
A player holding a hard 9, 10 or 11 can double at no extra cost. Pairs from 2s up to 9s, along with Aces, can be split for free.
In each case, the house funds the additional wager. The player can double or split without committing any additional stake of their own.
Those are the two moments where a hand normally costs the player more. Here, the extra money comes from the house instead.
The 22 catch
The added player advantage is balanced by one rule change. If the dealer busts with exactly 22, all remaining non-blackjack hands push instead of winning.
A natural blackjack remains the exception and is paid as normal. In effect, hands that would normally win against a dealer bust of 22 get their stakes back instead. That single change offsets the free doubles and splits.
Andrii Savyntsev, Product Owner Team Lead, ICONIC21, said:
“Doubling and splitting are two of the most important decisions a blackjack player can make, but they’re also the moments that usually require committing more money to the hand. By removing that additional cost on eligible hands, we let players make those decisions based on the cards in front of them.
“For operators, Push on 22 is what makes the format workable. It’s a single rule that’s easy to explain on screen, and it means they can offer free doubles and splits on an unlimited table while keeping the game in balance.”
One hand for all
The table has no seat limit. Every player at it plays against the same dealer hand at the same time, and each gets their own result.
Nobody has to wait for a seat to become free before joining. That sets the format apart from Private Edition Blackjack, a seven-seat live table that ICONIC21 reserves entirely for a single player.
On the live side, the supplier has also built a dedicated studio for Stake with 18 tables, designed to reflect the operator’s brand identity throughout.
Blackjack in focus
Free Double & Split Blackjack is the latest in a run of blackjack variants from ICONIC21. In October, it brought face-down doubling online with Face Down Double Down, which keeps the doubled card hidden until the dealer finishes.
Earlier in the year, it launched AI dealer blackjack with iDealer Blackjack, a seven-seat RNG title. A Miami-themed Boulevard table followed, adding customisation options for operators.
Chief Product Officer Edvardas Sadovskis later explained how the AI dealer is reshaping RNG tables. Blackjack also featured in its four-game Halloween Pack, which combined RNG blackjack with crash and slot content.
Away from blackjack, its Gravity Poker title pits players against the dealer, with two side bets and multipliers of up to 1,000x.
Wider reach
New formats need a route to players, and ICONIC21 has been widening its distribution. Its Alea partnership gives operators single-integration access to nearly 90 live casino and RNG titles.
In October, it also agreed to take its full portfolio to Advabet. Its slots, virtual and live casino content will go live on Advabet’s own brands before reaching its B2B clients.
In September, the supplier announced plans for a two-floor Vilnius studio and office. The site is set to create more than 350 roles as ICONIC21 expands across Europe.
