  • Superbet becomes the main sponsor of Olympiacos BC through 2032, effective 1 July 2026.
  • The deal is reported to be worth up to €55 million, including bonuses.
  • The sponsorship follows Olympiacos BC’s EuroLeague and Greek Championship double in the 2025/26 season.

Superbet has become the main sponsor of Greek basketball club Olympiacos BC, in a deal running through 2032, the club announced on 3 July 2026.

Replacing Bwin

The official announcement confirmed Superbet as the club’s main sponsor from 1 July 2026, taking over from outgoing sponsor Bwin. It builds on Superbet’s recent Greek football deals with PAOK, Panathinaikos and Levadiakos, extending the brand’s reach into basketball.

Olympiacos BC is one of European basketball’s most decorated clubs, having won the EuroLeague and Greek Championship in the 2025/26 season. According to Greek media reports, the sponsorship is worth up to €55 million, inclusive of performance-linked bonuses, across the six-year term.

John Kalamvokis, General Manager at Superbet Greece, said:

“This partnership with Olympiacos BC FC is a particularly important moment for Superbet in Greece. Our new partners are a club with an impressive history, a unique identity and a passionate fan base that lives for their favorite club. This organization has inspired millions of fans through its successes and timeless presence at the highest level of European sports.

“This year’s wins of the Euroleague Basketball and Greek Championship proved once again what Olympiacos means: ambition, hard work and a high performance. These are values that we recognize, respect and strive to serve every day at Superbet. We are proud to enter into this partnership until 2032 and look forward to creating engaging and innovative experiences that will bring this club and its fans even closer.”

Nikos Lepeniotis, General Manager at Olympiacos BC, said:

“We are particularly happy to welcome Superbet to the Olympiacos family. The start of this collaboration is an important moment for our organization and signals our shared desire to invest in a relationship with long-term potential and substantial content. We are united by the ambition to constantly grow, the desire for innovation and the commitment to achieving ambitious goals.”

Betting on Greece

The deal lands as Greece’s regulated gambling market continues expanding rapidly. Online gambling helped push the country’s gross gaming revenue to €3.07 billion in 2025, a 6.7 percent rise on the prior year.

Superbet entered the country through the acquisition of Exoplay Limited’s Type 2 licence, before securing a separate Type 1 sports betting licence from the Hellenic Gaming Commission. That cleared the way for a Greek market launch on 30 March 2026, with Kalamvokis bringing over a decade of experience at rival operator Kaizen Gaming to the role.

Superbet’s expansion is not limited to Greece. The operator recently marked an App Store milestone in Brazil, becoming the first licensed betting brand listed there.

The group was founded in Bucharest in 2008 by Sacha Dragic, and its parent company later rebranded as Super Technologies, backed by investment firm Blackstone, which took a minority stake worth €175 million in 2019 ahead of a further €1.3 billion refinancing in 2025.

Raising the stakes

The Olympiacos BC agreement hands Superbet one of the most visible sponsorship platforms in Greek sport, at a time when licensed operators are competing hard for recognition in a market still adjusting to new entrants.

Established players such as Stoiximan and Betano now face a rival willing to commit to long-term, high-value club partnerships rather than shorter promotional campaigns.

That approach could push sponsorship costs higher across Greek sport as operators push for the same marketing opportunities, testing how far new entrants are prepared to spend to build local brand recognition.
