Playson has entered a content partnership with challenger operator Midnite, delivering its portfolio to mobile-first audiences across the UK and Ireland. The deal marks another strategic expansion for the digital entertainment supplier in regulated markets.

Challenger brand gains retention-focused content

Founded in 2018 as a sports-led platform built for the next generation of players, Midnite has quickly established itself as one of the UK and Ireland’s most exciting operators.

The operator has demonstrated its growth trajectory through recent strategic moves, including securing a £100 million credit facility to accelerate UK growth ambitions and becoming the official partner of All Weather Championships Season XIII.

Through the collaboration, Midnite has enhanced its casino offering by launching Playson’s portfolio via Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform.

Midnite’s players have initially gained access to a selection of Playson’s top-performing titles, including Coin Strike 2: Hold and Win, 3x Catch and Energy Coins: Hold and Win. These games are renowned for their engaging features, strong retention and appeal to modern casino audiences. Further releases will be added in the coming months.

The partnership is already live across the UK and Ireland, marking another strategic step for the provider as it combines its established reputation with the agile approach of a disruptor brand.

Conor Jenner, Sales Manager at Playson, said:

Midnite has built impressive momentum in a highly competitive market, and we’re delighted to deliver our games to its player base across the UK and Ireland. By launching via Light & Wonder, we’ve ensured a smooth and efficient integration, bringing some of our most iconic hit titles to a new audience. We’re excited to build on this partnership as Midnite continues to scale.

Mobile-first operator targets digitally native players

Midnite’s approach centres on building a casino experience designed for digitally native players through intuitive, mobile-first platforms. The operator’s rapid growth in the competitive UK and Ireland markets has positioned it as a notable challenger brand within the sector.

Chelsea Pinho, Senior Casino Manager at Midnite, commented on the new partnership:

At Midnite, we’re focused on building a casino experience designed for digitally native players – intuitive, mobile-first and genuinely entertaining. Playson’s games align with that philosophy, combining engaging mechanics with strong long-term player appeal. We’re pleased to launch Playson’s content quickly and reliably, giving our players access to titles they already know and enjoy.

The integration via Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform enabled smooth and efficient deployment of Playson’s content to Midnite’s player base. This technical approach has become increasingly common among operators seeking to diversify their game portfolios without extensive individual integration work.

The partnership represents Playson’s continued focus on the UK and Ireland markets, where regulatory frameworks require robust licensing and compliance measures. The provider’s established presence in these jurisdictions positions it to serve both established operators and emerging challenger brands.

Midnite’s selection of Playson titles reflects broader industry trends towards retention-focused content featuring Hold and Win mechanics, which have demonstrated sustained player engagement across multiple markets. The phased rollout approach allows both parties to assess player response before expanding the available game selection.

Provider strengthens regulated market footprint

Playson operates within 26 regulated markets and maintains partnerships with more than 200 operators globally. The company develops online casino games with staff based around the globe, with headquarters in Malta and Slovakia.

The provider holds licences from the UKGC, ONJN, HGC, SGA, AGCO, GRA, MinCetur and SPA, with recognition notice from the MGA. This regulatory positioning supports the company’s ambitions of expanding across multiple jurisdictions.

Playson’s recent strategic developments include the appointment of Ben Wood as Chief Commercial Officer, strengthening its leadership team to support continued expansion across key markets.

Recent releases showcase Hold and Win innovation

The provider has maintained an active release schedule, recently debuting a dynamic new feature in Tornado Power Hold and Win and launching 3 Royal Coins Hold and Win with a new twin feature.

The company also unwrapped a €2 million Christmas Spectacular as part of its biggest ever Non-Stop Drops and Races promotion, demonstrating its commitment to player engagement through network-wide campaigns.
