- UK sportsbook and casino operator Midnite has secured a credit financing agreement worth up to $100 million from House Advantage Fund and partners
- The funding will support user acquisition campaigns and growth initiatives as the company pursues tier-one operator status in the competitive UK market
- The arrangement represents a performance-based financing model that allows operators to scale without traditional equity dilution constraints
Midnite, the London-based challenger operator, has announced a credit financing deal worth up to $100 million to fuel its expansion plans in the UK gaming market. The agreement, structured as a revolving credit facility, was provided by House Advantage Fund alongside Discerning Capital and PVX Capital.
The financing arrangement marks a departure from traditional funding models by tying capital deployment directly to marketing performance metrics. This approach enables Midnite to scale its user acquisition efforts whilst preserving cash reserves for product development and strategic hiring initiatives.
Capital deployment tied to performance
The performance-linked financing model introduces a new approach to securing funding in the gaming sector, enabling young and ambitious operators to scale their operations without the traditional pressures of equity dilution.
This structure could influence how other emerging operators approach expansion funding in increasingly competitive markets.
“This partnership allows us to triple down on both performance and brand marketing campaigns, while preserving cash for innovation and expansion,” said Nicholas Wright, CEO of Midnite.
“The flexibility of the House Advantage structure means we can pursue our long-term strategy with greater conviction and fewer trade-offs.
“This arrangement also signifies the strength of the partnership Midnite has with Discerning Capital. The confidence the team has in what we are doing at Midnite allows us to strive for continued growth and execute our strategy to disrupt the gaming industry for good.” he concluded.
The credit facility addresses long-standing constraints within the iGaming sector, where operators have traditionally faced limited growth financing options.
“For too long, the growth trajectory of online wagering operators has been constrained by the limitations of traditional venture capital or credit, which is hard to obtain across the broader gaming ecosystem,” commented Davis Catlin, managing partner at Discerning Capital.
“By tying capital deployment to actual marketing performance, we unlock sustainable, aggressive scale without forcing operators into unnecessary equity dilution or onerous repayment structures. This credit facility for Midnite sets a new benchmark for how ambitious firms in our sector can finance growth.”
Midnite’s funding announcement follows a period of rapid expansion since its 2018 launch by co-founders Nick Wright and Daniel Qu, who previously created fantasy sports platform Dribble with Sky Bet.

The company has evolved from a sportsbook-only operator to include horse racing and casino offerings, with its workforce growing from 60 to 110 employees over the past year.
In-house platform
The operator’s growth strategy centres on challenging established UK market leaders through proprietary technology development. Unlike many competitors relying on white-label solutions, Midnite has built its entire platform in-house, providing greater control over user experience and innovation capabilities.
“Building in-house means Midnite doesn’t have to rely on third-party white label solutions which allows us to create a truly customised experience for each individual player.” explained Nick Wright for SiGMA News earlier this year.
“Combining our tech, UX and product, Midnite can prioritise the player experience, offering a slick website and app plus a brand platform designed to speak to a new generation of players, specifically with features including the acca builder, daily scratch games, easy-to-use bet builders and instant payouts.”
With total funding now exceeding $135 million including previous investment rounds, Midnite aims to disrupt the UK betting landscape and achieve tier-one operator status.
The company has strengthened its market presence through partnerships including its role as official UK betting partner for the 2025 World Snooker Championship and training kit sponsor for Southampton FC.
