Octoplay has launched Midnite Express, a lifetime exclusive branded slot built specifically for Midnite, marking the first custom product developed under the companies’ UK partnership.

The game arrives a year after Octoplay and Midnite went live together in July 2025, and lays the groundwork for a longer-term content roadmap between the two firms.

Built on a hit

Midnite Express is built on the mechanics behind Fire Rail Express: Hold and Win, a train-themed slot that has featured among Octoplay’s strongest performers in the United States. According to Octoplay, the game has held a top-three position in the “New Top Game Ranks – Slots” category of the EILERS-FANTINI Online Game Performance report for three consecutive months.

The UK-exclusive version gives Midnite players access to mechanics from a proven US title.

Ralitsa Georgieva, CEO at Octoplay, said:

“Midnite Express is the first custom product we’ve built for Midnite, and it’s a meaningful step in how this partnership is developing. A year on from our initial launch, we’re moving from portfolio integration to co-developed content built specifically for their players. Adapting the mechanics behind one of our top-performing US titles for the UK with Midnite reflects how we work with operators who want more than off-the-shelf content.”

Chelsea Pinho, Head of Casino at Midnite, added:

“Octoplay has been a strong content partner since we went live together last year, and Midnite Express is the result of a collaboration grounded in shared ambition. Having a lifetime exclusive title based on proven mechanics gives us a product we can put behind with confidence.”

Wider UK rollout

The launch comes as Octoplay continues to expand across the UK. Its most recent tier-one go-live was with Bally’s Intralot, according to the company, following earlier integrations with Evoke’s 888 and Mr Green brands, Virgin Bet and LiveScore Bet.

Evoke itself is currently the target of a £243m takeover bid from Bally’s Intralot, a deal that would bring several of Octoplay’s existing UK partners under one roof.

Midnite has been chasing tier-one operator status of its own. The operator closed a $35m Series C funding round in January, on top of an earlier $100m credit facility secured in 2025 to fund its UK growth.

It has also taken on a run of Championship shirt sponsorships this year, including a deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers for the club’s 150th anniversary season.

Growing global reach

Octoplay now operates across 18 regulated markets, including the UK, Malta, Romania, Croatia, Sweden, Slovakia, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Greece, Spain, Finland, Georgia, Brazil, New Jersey, Michigan and Ontario, according to the company.

The studio has broadened its footprint through the year with moves such as its Michigan debut alongside BetMGM, FanDuel, Fanatics and Rush Street Interactive, and a Brazil integration via Superbet, part of a run of new agreements it has added roughly monthly since 2024.

Founded in October 2022 and headquartered in St Julians, Malta, Octoplay was set up by industry veteran Carl Ejlertsson, who stepped aside as chief executive in March 2026 in favour of Ralitsa Georgieva, while remaining involved in the studio’s creative direction.

Octoplay says it now partners with more than 80 operators and offers over 150 slot games built on its proprietary RGS platform. Its jackpot suite, Jackpot Hunt, has recorded opt-in rates the company puts at around 70% industry-wide and has rewarded more than four million winners since launch, according to Octoplay.

As Midnite pursues tier-one status in a crowded UK market against a backdrop of consolidation among its bigger rivals, co-developed titles could become a bigger differentiator than volume alone.
