LeoVegas Group has extended its proprietary Tiger sportsbook technology to the UK, bringing BetMGM, LeoVegas and BetUK onto its in-house platform.
The rollout follows earlier launches in Sweden, Denmark and Brazil, as the MGM Resorts-owned operator consolidates its stable of brands onto a single technology stack.
Building in-house
All three UK brands are now running on Tiger, the sportsbook technology LeoVegas Group has developed as the centrepiece of its proprietary strategy. The platform covers bet builder markets, live betting, daily odds boosts and partial cash-out functionality.
The technology traces back to a sportsbook stack acquired from German operator Tipico, in a deal facilitated by parent company MGM Resorts International. That acquisition gave LeoVegas full ownership of a proven platform, which it has steadily deployed across its regulated markets since.
Adrian Vella, Chief Product and Technology Officer at LeoVegas Group, said:
“This marks one of the most significant moments in our two-year journey to build a world-class, proprietary sportsbook. Every market launch has helped us refine the platform, improve the customer experience and strengthen our competitive edge.
“Launching in the UK demonstrates our commitment to investing in our own technology – giving us the speed to innovate, greater flexibility and a strong foundation for long-term strategic growth.”
James Derbyshire, Sports Director UK&I at LeoVegas Group, added:
“Launching our proprietary sportsbook, Tiger, in the UK is another huge milestone for the Group. As one of the most competitive igaming markets in the world, I’m excited to see our customers enjoy the product and engage with some fantastic new sports betting features tailored specifically for the UK market.
“A massive well done to our global team, who’ve worked so hard to keep Tiger’s international rollout on track and deliver for our customers.”
Rollout gathers pace
The UK launch is the latest step in a rapid international expansion. Tiger went live in Denmark and Brazil before reaching Sweden, where LeoVegas completed its Sweden migration in June, joining GoGoCasino and BetMGM Sweden on the platform within roughly two months.
Sweden’s rollout began when GoGoCasino added Tiger to its sportsbook offering, following a new betting licence from Sweden’s gambling regulator, Spelinspektionen.
Tiger’s international footprint also extends to Brazil, where it launched on BetMGM Brazil earlier this year, demonstrating that the platform can support joint-venture partners beyond LeoVegas’s own brands.
Competitive stakes
The UK ranks among the most contested igaming markets globally, with established operators competing hard on product and pricing. Landing Tiger there as the football season opens gives LeoVegas Group a fresh platform to showcase just as customer engagement peaks.
The group has consistently framed each Tiger launch as a chance to refine the platform before the next one, treating the market-by-market rollout as an iterative process rather than a single release.
For operators still reliant on third-party sportsbook suppliers, LeoVegas Group’s UK go-live adds to a broader pattern among tier-one operators of bringing core betting technology in-house. That shift carries implications for margins, product speed and how quickly operators can respond when regulation or market conditions change.
