Sportsbook and iGaming solutions provider Digitain has entered a partnership with Winbet Romania, launching its affiliate management platform and laying the groundwork for a broader technology collaboration.

Affiliate platform goes live

The first phase centres on Digitain’s affiliate platform, which is now operational at Winbet Romania. The solution is built to help operators launch, manage and scale affiliate programmes, offering flexible commission structures, advanced tracking and consolidated visibility across brands and markets.

Mark Adonia, chief executive officer at Winbet Romania, said:

“The integration of Digitain Affiliate represents a key milestone for Winbet Romania. It enables us to strengthen our affiliate management capabilities, enhance performance tracking, and engage our partners more strategically.

“Looking ahead, we are excited to deepen our collaboration with Digitain across multiple areas, further expanding our offering and delivering greater value to our players and partners.”

The platform gives Winbet Romania access to detailed performance reporting and data-driven insights, supporting more targeted affiliate network management.

Ani Mkrtchyan, chief sales officer at Digitain, said:

“We are delighted to partner with Winbet Romania, launching our affiliate solution and preparing the integration of our Sportsbook offering. This partnership demonstrates how Digitain’s technology enables operators to manage their affiliate networks more efficiently and deliver a superior betting experience.”

A sportsbook integration is expected to follow as the next phase of the collaboration, as part of a broader technology relationship between the two companies.

About Winbet

Winbet is a Bulgarian-origin gaming chain headquartered in Sofia that has been active since the mid-2000s. The company entered the Romanian gaming market in 2007, initially through land-based gaming halls and betting agencies, before developing its online platform, Winbet.ro, to offer casino and sports betting services.

Winbet now operates across Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Georgia, Belarus and Tanzania. Its Romanian operation runs under licence from the national gambling authority ONJN.

In 2024, Winbet announced a sponsorship partnership with AC Milan covering multiple Balkan markets. The operator has also added a series of content and technology partnerships in Romania in recent years, including supplier agreements with BGaming and 7777 Gaming.

Digitain’s Romanian push

The agreement adds to a series of Romanian market moves for Digitain, following previously announced collaborations with 888 Romania and KingCasino. The supplier has also established a Romanian operational presence alongside its Malta-based hub.

Romania’s growing commercial appeal for European-facing iGaming suppliers shows no signs of slowing. With regulatory discussions around advertising and player protection ongoing, operators building out affiliate and sportsbook infrastructure through established platform providers are better placed to compete as the market develops.
