Digitain secures strategic partnership with 888 Romania

Digitain has secured a strategic partnership with 888 Romania, under which the technology supplier will provide its sportsbook platform to the Romanian operator. The partnership represents another step in Digitain’s expansion across the Romanian gaming market.

Partnership Details

The agreement sees 888 Romania integrate Digitain’s sportsbook technology into its operations. The deal builds on Digitain’s growing presence in Romania, where the company has been expanding its network of operator partnerships throughout 2025.

888 Romania operates under Evoke plc, formerly known as 888 Holdings, which has maintained a presence in the Romanian market since 2016. The company holds a licence from the National Gambling Office of Romania and offers localised services to Romanian players in the local currency, Romanian Leu.

Market expansion strategy

This partnership forms part of Digitain’s broader strategy to strengthen its footprint in Romania and Eastern Europe. In September 2025, the company announced a similar partnership with KingCasino, providing access to its sportsbook platform and Centrivo solution.

Romanian gaming landscape

Romania represents one of Europe’s emerging gaming markets, with a population of over 19 million and an established regulatory framework. The market has attracted international operators seeking growth opportunities in regulated environments.

Evoke has identified Romania as its fifth core market alongside the UK, Italy, Spain and Denmark. The company completed the acquisition of local operator Winner.ro in 2024 for €10 million, strengthening its Romanian operations.

This latest partnership positions Digitain to capitalise on Romania’s growing online gaming sector, providing operators with advanced technology solutions designed for regulated markets. The agreement reflects both companies’ commitment to delivering enhanced gaming experiences to Romanian players.

Recently, Digitain announced that it had received an E-category licence from the Belgian Gaming Commission.
