SBC Summit 2026 will open its evening programme with a headline performance from The Script, marking one of the largest artist bookings in the event’s history.

The multi-platinum Irish band will take the stage on Tuesday, 29 September, at Lisbon’s Pavilhão Carlos Lopes to headline the SBC Summit Opening Party.

Universal appeal

With six UK number one albums, 14 billion streams and five million album sales worldwide, The Script will bring more than two decades of hits to Lisbon as thousands of industry professionals gather to open the week.

The band is best known for songs including “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” “Breakeven,” “For the First Time” and “Hall of Fame.” The Opening Party, powered by 1xBet, has become a signature fixture of the SBC Summit calendar, bringing attendees together on the first evening for complimentary drinks, live entertainment and networking.

Rasmus Sojmark, Founder and CEO of SBC, said:

“We couldn’t be prouder to welcome The Script to headline our Opening Party. Their songs are instantly recognisable to people all over the world, but what makes them the perfect fit for this stage is their universal appeal. They transcend genres in exactly the same way SBC Summit transcends borders, bringing together every corner of our industry. I can’t think of a better way to bring this global community together on night one.”

Two decades of hits

Since emerging onto the international stage, The Script have built a reputation as one of Ireland’s most commercially successful bands, blending emotionally charged rock with pop sensibility.

Their self-titled debut arrived in 2008 and reached number one in both the UK and Ireland, featuring singles such as “We Cry” and “Before the Worst” alongside “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” and “Breakeven.”

The follow-up, Science & Faith, topped the charts in the UK and Ireland in 2010 and reached number three on the US Billboard 200, spawning “For the First Time.” Two years later, #3 delivered “Hall of Fame,” featuring will.i.am, which became the band’s first UK number one single.

The group went on to release No Sound Without Silence (2014), Freedom Child (2017), Sunsets & Full Moons (2019) and Satellites (2024). This year, the band entered a new chapter with the single “Man in the Arena,” a newly announced world tour and the 14 August release of their album The User’s Guide to Being Human.

A week of networking

The Opening Party will kick off a week of dedicated networking experiences available to attendees holding a VIP, Networking or Business pass, as well as Affiliate Leaders Summit VIP pass holders.

Having opened the week with a live performance, SBC Summit 2026 will close it with INFINITY Lisbon on Thursday, 1 October, at the MEO Arena. The flagship closing party will be headlined by global EDM icon Tiësto, alongside Dutch duo BlasterJaxx and Marc Vedo.

SBC Summit returns to the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and MEO Arena from 29 September to 1 October for its third edition in the Portuguese capital, welcoming 40,000 industry professionals from across betting, gaming, payments and affiliate marketing.

The Opening Party has a limited capacity of 3,000 guests, with entry for eligible pass holders subject to availability; early arrival is advised. Guests holding a VIP Area Opening Party wristband are guaranteed access.

Live music of this scale on an opening night sets a marker for how SBC intends to run the rest of the week, with the Super Stage lineup and closing arena show at INFINITY Lisbon built around the same premise: pulling delegates into the room before the agenda even starts.
