  • The Board will support new SBC Leaders Regulatory Forums from 19 April 2027

SBC has established a Regulatory Advisory Board of regulatory affairs leaders, former regulators and industry executives to strengthen dialogue across international gaming markets. Andrew Gellatly, former Executive Director of the AGCC, will chair the group.

Who sits on it

The Board is designed to strengthen engagement between gaming regulators, licensed operators, lotteries, policymakers and industry associations. It will provide strategic guidance on SBC’s regulatory initiatives and help shape high-level discussions.

Members will also identify emerging regulatory challenges across international markets. Alongside the chairman, the line-up includes:

  • David Foster, Group Director of International Regulatory Affairs, Entain
  • Yannis Xirotiris, Senior Director Regulatory Affairs, Kaizen Gaming
  • Jon Polanec, VP Global Risk & Market Integrity, Super
  • Francesco Rodano, Head of Responsible Gaming, Allwyn
  • Charmaine Hogan, Global Head of Government Relations, Playtech
  • Jessica Feil, SVP & General Counsel, OpenBet
  • Morten Ronde, International Gambling Regulation & Strategy, Nordic Legal, and a former Danish regulator
  • Eleonore Para, public affairs consultant and former gaming regulator

SBC’s own leadership is also represented. The company’s founder sits on the Board with Managing Director Andrew McCarron, and Head of Legal Eve Hartley serves as Secretary.

A wider commitment

SBC describes the Board as part of a broader commitment to giving regulators, policymakers and industry leaders more chances to exchange knowledge. The aim is to tackle common challenges and help develop sustainable regulated gaming markets.

The company’s founder pointed to taxation, licensing, player protection and illegal gambling as pressing issues in Europe, North America and beyond.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO & Founder, SBC, said:

“Regulation is one of the most important factors shaping the future of our industry. Across Europe, North America and other international markets, we are seeing increasingly complex discussions around taxation, licensing, player protection, illegal gambling and the sustainability of regulated markets.

“SBC has always been about bringing the industry together, and we believe there is a real opportunity to extend that approach to regulatory engagement. We want to create an environment where regulators and industry leaders can have open, informed and constructive conversations about the issues that matter.

“We’ve assembled an outstanding group of people who understand regulation from different perspectives, and their experience will be invaluable in helping us develop something that makes a meaningful contribution to the industry.”

Shared challenges

Gellatly said many jurisdictions now face the same pressures on player protection, market integrity and sustainable growth.

Andrew Gellatly, former Executive Director of AGCC and Chairman of the SBC Regulatory Advisory Board, added:

“Gaming regulation is becoming increasingly complex, with different jurisdictions facing many of the same challenges around player protection, market integrity and sustainable growth.

“The Advisory Board provides an opportunity to bring together experienced industry leaders, identify emerging regulatory challenges and encourage constructive dialogue between regulators and licensed operators. I look forward to supporting SBC in developing its regulatory initiatives across international markets.”

Amsterdam first

A central priority for the Board will be the SBC Leaders Regulatory Forums. The first takes place in Amsterdam on 19 April 2027, where 350 senior decision-makers from Europe’s regulated gaming industry are expected to gather.

The Dutch capital is already on SBC’s calendar for that month, with SBC Summit Europe bringing regulators and licensed operators to the city in April 2027.

SBC is also developing a North American edition in Toronto. It will bring together 250 senior regulatory and industry leaders from the United States and Canada.

Building on partnerships

The Board builds on SBC’s existing partnerships with the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL). In May 2026, the three organisations agreed a three-year education project spanning SBC events and media.

SBC has also widened regulator access at its own shows. Its Regulatory Gaming Meetups were set up to connect Lisbon delegates with regulators from more than 20 jurisdictions. A partnership with GRAF later extended that dialogue to Africa.

Through the Board and its wider regulatory work, SBC aims to build an international platform for constructive dialogue between regulators and licensed operators. Its stated goal is responsible, competitive and sustainable regulated gaming markets.
