  • Betano has been named Official Regional Sponsor of the Argentina National Football Team.

  • Betano already sponsors River Plate under a shirt-front agreement running through 2028.

Betano, the sports betting brand owned by Kaizen Gaming, has been named Official Regional Sponsor of the Argentina National Football Team. The partnership was announced on 29 April as anticipation builds for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which kicks off on 11 June in North America.

The deal aligns Betano with one of football’s most commercially powerful national teams ahead of a tournament expected to generate record betting activity across Latin America.

World Cup timing

The agreement grants Betano official regional sponsor status, including branding rights across Argentina national team campaigns and fan engagement initiatives. With the World Cup just weeks away at the time of the announcement, the partnership arrives during the sport’s most commercially valuable pre-tournament window, when national team visibility reaches its peak.

Argentina are the reigning world champions, having won the FIFA World Cup three times. The team has also recorded 47 victories in World Cup matches, making it one of the tournament’s most successful nations.

For betting operators, national team sponsorships provide sustained exposure across qualifiers, friendlies and major tournaments, offering significantly longer engagement cycles than single-event partnerships.

Betano’s activation strategy will centre on a 360-degree campaign built around its Spanish-language tagline, “Confiá”, spanning digital, television and out-of-home advertising. The operator also plans fan-focused activations designed to maximise engagement throughout the tournament.

Expanding in Argentina

The national team partnership strengthens Betano’s growing footprint in Argentine football. The company already holds front-of-shirt sponsorship rights with River Plate, following an agreement signed in May 2025 that runs through the end of 2028.

River Plate recently reported that sponsorship revenue had doubled, with commercial partnerships now accounting for approximately 30% of the club’s operational revenue. With both club and national team partnerships now in place, Betano has established a powerful dual presence in one of Latin America’s most passionate football markets.

Kaizen’s global growth strategy

Kaizen Gaming, which employs more than 3,000 people worldwide, operates Betano across Europe, the Americas and Africa. The company described the Argentina partnership as part of its broader international expansion strategy. International tournaments consistently generate sharp spikes in audience engagement and betting volume, making national team sponsorships among the industry’s most valuable marketing assets during a World Cup cycle.

By partnering with the defending champions ahead of 11 June, Betano positions itself alongside one of football’s strongest global narratives. Kaizen Gaming further reinforced its market standing by winning Operator of the Year at both the EGR Operator Awards and the SBC Awards in 2025.

For operators and investors tracking Latin America, the agreement shows continued confidence in Argentina as a strategic priority market as regulation evolves and World Cup interest accelerates.
