The 2026 Gaming in Holland Conference takes place on 4 June at the KIT Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam.
The full-day programme centres on how the regulated Dutch industry can push back against illegal operators.
Netherlands Gambling Authority representatives, major operator CEOs and industry analysts are among confirmed speakers.

The Gaming in Holland Conference has published its agenda for the 2026 edition, with illegal competition set to dominate proceedings when the event convenes in Amsterdam on 4 June.

Organised under the banner #ReclaimTheMarket, the annual gathering will bring together senior decision-makers from across the Dutch gambling sector to explore coordinated responses to unlicensed operators that continue to attract Dutch players away from the regulated market.

Full-day programme

The conference opens with a keynote from Ella Seijsener, Director Licensing and Supervision at the Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA), covering market developments and regulatory responses. Her colleague Floor van Bakkum, Team Manager Player Protection, will later address player safety standards in the Dutch market.

Operator perspectives come from two boardroom sessions: Arjan Blok, CEO of Nederlandse Loterij, and Petra de Ruiter, CEO of Holland Casino, will each present their views on the challenges and opportunities facing the market.

A dedicated session on the black market will be led by Pascal Chaffard, Head of the Online Betting and Gaming Business Unit at FDJ United, who will explore the case for a coordinated European response to unlicensed activity. A panel — moderated by Martin van Geest, Co-Founder of Meneer Casino — will then examine whether players can be persuaded to return to licensed platforms, with input from Dr Andreas Ditsche, CEO of iGaming.com, and Richard Dennys, CEO of Mr. Gamble.

Josh Hodgson, COO of H2 Gambling Capital, will present a data-driven overview of the Dutch market, and Jeffrey Haas, Advisor at Blask Business Intelligence, will compare game popularity on licensed and offshore platforms. Legal firm Franssen Tolboom Advocaten is also represented: Frank Tolboom, a partner at the firm, will guide attendees through KSA reliability assessments, from initial licence applications through to M&A approval.

Further sessions will address the Dutch iGaming outlook, political expectations from The Hague, payment solutions and product innovation. The programme concludes with a canal tour and networking drinks at Adyen’s Amsterdam headquarters, where the CasinoNieuws 2026 Online Casino of the Year Awards will also be presented.

Breakouts and compliance

Two breakout sessions run alongside the main stage. One covers the practical steps involved in renewing a Dutch gambling licence ahead of the 2026 renewal cycle. The other addresses AMLR and AMLA compliance obligations for operators in the market — timely given ongoing legislative developments at European level.
