EveryMatrix has created a standalone Lottery division to develop dedicated digital-first technology, products and functionality for the global lottery sector, the Malta-based supplier announced on 23 June.
Purpose-built for lottery
The new business unit formalises EveryMatrix’s commitment to the lottery vertical, following more than a decade supplying tier-1 lotteries with its turnkey platform. Products under the division’s remit will span numbers games, pool sports and eInstants, extending the group’s existing casino, sports and platform capabilities into lottery-specific functionality.
Nikolina Gabelica, who joined EveryMatrix in 2024 as Head of Lottery, has been promoted to Managing Director of the new unit. She brings more than 20 years of international experience across product, commercial and operational roles in the lottery and iGaming sectors.
Before joining EveryMatrix, Gabelica held senior positions at Croatian state lottery operator Hrvatska Lutrija, including Director of Business Development and Marketing. She has also served as Executive Chair of the Marketing and Communications Working Group at the European Lotteries (EL) association.
Nikolina Gabelica, Managing Director, Lottery, EveryMatrix, said:
“We strongly believe there is room in the lottery world for a new approach, bringing modern, modular and digital-first technologies that help lotteries grow, innovate and better meet expectations of today’s players.
“The creation of a dedicated Lottery business unit is a natural next step and an important milestone for EveryMatrix that reflects our long-term commitment to the lottery sector.”
Already in the room
EveryMatrix already serves several of Europe’s largest state-owned lottery operators. Its tier-1 partner network spans Szerencsejáték Zrt (Hungary), Norsk Tipping (Norway), Veikkaus (Finland), OPAP (Greece) and Danske Spil (Denmark).
National lottery operators across Europe and North America are accelerating digital transformation, seeking modular technology to overhaul legacy systems and compete for new audiences. EveryMatrix has been positioning itself to serve that demand across multiple geographies at once.
Trade association membership has expanded in step with that ambition. EveryMatrix joined NASPL in March 2026, following its entry into CIBELAE as an associate member in August 2025. CIBELAE is the World Lottery Association’s regional body for Latin America, Spain and Portugal.
An Alberta licence secured in May 2026 further reinforced the group’s North American regulatory standing, ahead of that province’s scheduled iGaming launch in July.
The group’s lottery credentials were on show this week when its EngageSuite Jackpots product powered a €2m jackpot at Swedish operator ATG Casino, the second record-breaking payout the platform has delivered in six months. EveryMatrix has also been active across other segments in June, with a BetAhoy deal making the UK brand the first operator to deploy its newly built front-end.
Founded in 2008, EveryMatrix now employs 1,500 people across 16 offices in 16 countries. The company holds memberships with the WLA, European Lotteries, CIBELAE and NASPL, and in September 2023 became the first iGaming supplier to earn WLA Safer Gambling Certification.
What the structure signals
Running lottery as a standalone unit, rather than embedding it within a broader commercial structure, points that EveryMatrix is seriously betting on its lottery growth.
State-owned lottery operators typically work within extended tender timelines, sector-specific compliance frameworks and structured account management processes. A dedicated division is better placed to meet those requirements on operators’ own terms.
With multi-region trade association membership now in place, the new division is positioned to convert those relationships into contracted programmes.
