EveryMatrix secures licensing approval in Alberta Canada
  • EveryMatrix has received conditional licensing approval from the AGLC to offer iGaming technology in Alberta, Canada.
  • Alberta’s regulated market is scheduled to launch on July 13, 2026, making it Canada’s second open iGaming jurisdiction after Ontario.
  • The approval extends EveryMatrix’s North American footprint to seven licensed jurisdictions.

EveryMatrix has received conditional licensing approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC) to supply its iGaming technology in the Canadian province, extending its North American footprint as Alberta prepares to open its regulated market on July 13, 2026.

Alberta market

The approval enables the supplier to provide its casino platform and sports technology to licensed operators in Alberta, which is set to become Canada’s second regulated iGaming territory after Ontario.

With a population of approximately five million, high digital adoption, and one of the strongest GDP per capita profiles in North America, Alberta is positioned as a high-potential jurisdiction.

At launch, EveryMatrix will offer premium titles from in-house studio Fantasma Games alongside aggregated content, with plans to expand its portfolio over time.

Rani Axon, Market Manager, North America, EveryMatrix, said:

“Entering Alberta marks an exciting step for the Group as we expand further into one of North America’s most attractive regulated markets. This approval shows the strength of our compliance team and our readiness to meet regulatory requirements in any market.”

North American footprint

The Alberta approval adds to a North American portfolio that already includes Ontario, New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

EveryMatrix has held an Ontario licence since 2022, giving it a direct reference point for the framework Alberta has modelled its own market on.

Recent momentum

The Alberta news arrives as EveryMatrix closes a run of deals across multiple global markets.

In April, the company went live with Betsson Africa in Cameroon, delivering a full turnkey solution covering casino, sports, player account management, payments and affiliate tools. That followed a South Africa manufacturer’s licence secured in February.

In Europe, EveryMatrix landed a Cashpoint omnichannel deal in Denmark and launched Irish bookmaker FitzBet across the UK and Ireland with a full turnkey stack.

At the leadership level, Jonas Groes was named Group Co-CEO last year alongside co-founder Ebbe Groes as the company targets a top-three global platform position by 2030.

What comes next

Alberta’s open, multi-operator framework mirrors Ontario’s structure, which generated C$4.04 billion in annual revenue in 2025. Suppliers entering on Day One stand to benefit from early operator relationships as the market matures.

For EveryMatrix, the conditional approval is a further signal of its compliance infrastructure’s capacity to scale across new jurisdictions at pace.

Operators finalising technology partnerships ahead of the July 13 launch will weigh portfolio depth and regulatory track record as key criteria, and on both counts, EveryMatrix is positioning itself as a go-to option.
