Kaizen Gaming has launched Betano Trivia, describing it as the world’s first live trivia experience powered entirely by generative AI. The free-to-play product, built by the company’s in-house innovation unit, is now available across all 20 markets in which Betano operates.
Built in-house
Kaizen Labs, the company’s innovation incubator, developed Betano Trivia without external trivia platforms or licensed question databases. The game runs on a proprietary GenAI stack, covering the AI avatar presenter, dynamic question and content creation, and all supporting audiovisual production.
Unlike conventional trivia formats that use AI only to generate questions, every element in Betano Trivia is AI-generated, from the avatar presenter’s delivery to the surrounding visual experience. Cross-functional teams across engineering, design and content at Kaizen Gaming all contributed to the build.
George Kourakos, Director of Innovation at Kaizen Gaming, said:
“Betano Trivia demonstrates how AI can be used to create entirely new forms of entertainment and customer engagement. At Kaizen Gaming we never use technology for its own sake. We have a clear goal to elevate the world-class gaming experience we offer to our customers.
“What makes this achievement particularly special is that it was developed entirely by our internal teams, combining creativity, engineering excellence and a shared passion for innovation across the board.”
World Cup timing
The launch is timed to the FIFA World Cup 2026, which is under way across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Kaizen Gaming describes this as a period of peak global football interest. Betano Trivia is positioned as additional entertainment for fans engaged with the tournament, letting them test their knowledge without leaving the Betano platform.
Betano has been an Official Tournament Supporter for Europe and South America since May, marking the brand’s third FIFA partnership. That presence gives the product access to large, tournament-engaged audiences across both regions.
The game is designed to slot into the natural rhythms of match day, from pre-match build-up to half-time, giving Betano a touchpoint with fans during moments when they are not actively placing bets. Players compete across sports, entertainment and pop culture, with prizes available each session. No wagering is required, potentially widening reach beyond the existing betting base.
Milestone for Kaizen
Betano Trivia arrives during a strong commercial run. Kaizen Gaming won Operator of the Year at both the EGR Operator Awards and the SBC Awards in 2025. Earlier this month, Betano claimed a double at the SBC Awards Americas 2026, taking both Sportsbook Operator and Casino Operator of the Year for Latin America.
The company employs more than 3,000 people and operates across 20 regulated markets in Europe, the Americas and Africa.
Building a fully generative AI entertainment product at scale, entirely in-house, marks a step change from the AI use cases most operators have deployed so far. Rivals primarily using AI for personalisation and odds-setting now face a competitor that has taken it all the way into live entertainment.
