  • Etienne Azzopardi has been confirmed as permanent Managing Director of Swintt, converting from an interim appointment made in January 2026.
  • During his three months as interim MD, Azzopardi oversaw 12 new releases and secured deals with NetBet Greece and SkillOnNet.
  • Switzerland is next on the Malta-based provider’s regulated market expansion roadmap for 2026.

Swintt has confirmed Etienne Azzopardi as its permanent Managing Director, ending a leadership transition period that began when former CEO David Mann departed the Malta-based software provider earlier this year.

Azzopardi first joined Swintt in August 2021 as Director of Operations before being promoted to COO in February 2022.

He was handed the interim role in January 2026, and a three-month spell in the position provided sufficient validation for the provider to make the appointment permanent. Azzopardi now takes full ownership of Swintt’s product strategy, market expansion and team development.

The studio operates as part of LCKY Group, the operator formerly known as Glitnor, supplying content to both its own consumer brands and external B2B partners.

Interim track record

Azzopardi’s three months at the helm produced a busy release schedule, with 12 new titles brought to market. Three of those were additions to the Elysium Studios portfolio, including Lucky Lads: Hold & Win, which the company says has performed strongly with both players and operators.

The period also generated commercial momentum on the distribution side. NetBet Greece signed an agreement in February to carry Swintt content across its Greek platform, adding a regulated European market to the provider’s operator network.

Days later, SkillOnNet confirmed a separate deal bringing Select, Premium and Elysium Studios titles to its .com, UK and Mexico brands, with further rollouts across additional regulated jurisdictions planned.

Earlier in December 2025, when Swintt added bet365 as a distribution partner for Elysium Studios content in the UK and Premium titles across .com markets.

Road ahead

Azzopardi will now lead Swintt’s efforts to build on that commercial base, with Switzerland identified as the next priority market for 2026. The provider has entered more than 13 regulated markets since launching in 2019, most recently entering Italy.

Etienne Azzopardi, Managing Director at Swintt, said:

“I’m delighted to have been appointed Managing Director at Swintt. Since joining the company in 2021, I’ve had a hand in everything from operational management and roadmap optimisation to market licensing and game certification, and the experience I’ve picked up in those four and a half years will prove crucial in my new role.”

“Having spent three months acting as Interim Managing Director, I feel very privileged to be taking the role on a permanent basis and believe this will be the catalyst for Swintt to continue its outstanding recent growth in regulated markets worldwide. With a packed product roadmap already planned for 2026, it’s going to be an amazing journey and I’m excited to continue growing the Swintt brand.”

For operators evaluating new content partnerships, Azzopardi’s permanent appointment signals clear strategic direction at a provider that has been expanding its regulated footprint at pace.

With Switzerland next on the roadmap and a packed product schedule already in place for 2026, Swintt enters the second quarter with momentum and settled leadership behind it.
