Tribal gaming revenues grow to a record $43.9 billion in 2024
Tribal gaming operations in the U.S. have hit a new high, generating $43.9 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2024, a 4.6% jump from last year and the fourth consecutive year of record-breaking growth.
This surge, reported by the National Indian Gaming Commission, reflects a strong rebound from the pandemic slump and underscores the vital economic role tribal casinos play across 29 states.
With 532 gaming facilities owned by 243 federally recognized tribes, the industry continues to drive jobs, infrastructure, education, and community programs. Regions like Oklahoma City and Washington, D.C. led the growth, while Sacramento topped revenue at $12.1 billion.
NIGC leaders praised tribal resilience and leadership, emphasizing how these revenues support tribal sovereignty and vital social initiatives. The rise in tribal gaming marks not just financial success but a broader story of community strength and economic empowerment.
