Online sports betting legal and regulated under Betting Law of 2019 (Law 37(I)/2019). National Betting Authority (NBA) issues licenses. Online casino games, poker, slot machines, and lotteries prohibited; only sports betting permitted online.

Two license classes: Class A (land-based betting excluding horse racing), Class B (online sports betting only). Licenses valid 1-2 years, renewable. Application fees: €30,000 (1 year) or €45,000 (2 years).

Tax: 13% combined rate (10% net revenue + 3% NBA contribution, with 2% to Cyprus Sports Federations, 1% to gambling addiction programs). Corporate tax: 12.5% (lowest in EU).

Requirements: Cyprus-registered company, backup server physically located in Cyprus connected to NBA systems, .com.cy domain mandatory, strict AML/KYC compliance, real-time transaction monitoring.

Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission (CCC) separately regulates land-based casinos, including Cyprus’s integrated casino resort in Limassol (minimum age 21; 18 for other gambling).

Horse racing betting exclusive to Nicosia Race Club. Dog racing prohibited.
