Slot provider Thunderkick signs with 777.es
Swedish slot developer Thunderkick is making its move into Spain’s competitive online casino market, partnering with 777.es to bring its signature game portfolio to Spanish players.
The strategic expansion reflects broader industry momentum in the Iberian region and continues the studio’s European growth trajectory.
Recognizable slots with appeal to Spanish players
The deal builds on Thunderkick’s existing relationship with the 777 brand in Belgium, which has now proven successful enough to warrant geographic expansion. Casino777.es will roll out several of Thunderkick’s most recognizable titles, including the Midas Golden Touch series and Esqueleto Explosivo.
The studio’s Day of the Dead theming could resonate particularly well with Spanish audiences familiar with similar cultural traditions.
Commenting on the new deal, Mariam Dodosh, Key Account Manager at Thunderkick, said:
“The ongoing relationship between 777 and Thunderkick in Belgium is a fruitful one, and the expansion into Spain marked the natural next step of this collaboration,” said Dodosh.
“Our content continues to drive results with operators in the market, and we look forward to seeing our fan-favourite titles resonate with a new audience at 777.es.”
César Paredes, Country Manager at 777.es, added:
“We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Thunderkick, and its commitment to creativity shines through in its games,” commented Paredes.
“We have no doubt Casino777.es players will enjoy the brand-new additions to our online casino as we continue to deliver fresh, dynamic content to the Spanish market. The integration of Thunderkick into our portfolio is another step in our commitment to providing our players with the best possible gaming experience.”
The 777 brand brings its own credentials to the partnership. Beyond its digital operations, the company maintains connections to Casino de Spa in Belgium, one of Europe’s historic gambling venues dating back over two centuries. This blend of heritage and digital expansion mirrors the broader European casino industry’s evolution.
Spain’s growth potential
Spain’s regulated online gambling market has become increasingly attractive to European studios since its 2011 liberalization.
With strict licensing requirements managed by the DGOJ (Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego), the Spanish market offers legitimacy and growth potential, though it remains highly competitive with dozens of licensed operators vying for player attention.
For Thunderkick, this marks another notch in a growing Spanish operator network that already includes several major European brands.
The Stockholm-based studio, which has operated independently since 2012 with an entirely in-house team of over 80, has built its reputation on distinctive visual design and innovative mechanics rather than churning out high-volume content.
Recent releases like Pink Elephants Trinity and the studio’s debut crash game Heads Will Roll demonstrate this commitment to creative differentiation.
