SkillOnNet brings iconic jackpots to more markets

SkillOnNet has expanded its partnership with Games Global, switching on the supplier’s progressive jackpot portfolio across several regulated markets.

Players on SkillOnNet brands in the UK, Mexico and Sweden now have access to Games Global’s jackpot network, including Mega Moolah, WowPot and King Millions.

Where the titles land

The deal isn’t a new integration so much as a widening of an existing one, folding Games Global’s shared jackpot pool into more of SkillOnNet’s regulated footprint. Regional variants have also gone live where the market allows it: Maple Moolah in Ontario, ring-fenced to Canadian players, and Carnaval Fortuna in Brazil.

That regional structuring matters more than it might look. Jackpot networks pool contributions across every connected operator, so the size and reach of the pool depend on which markets a supplier is legally allowed to link together. Games Global runs both a global network and market-specific spurs off it, and this rollout uses both.

A record with staying power

Mega Moolah still holds the Guinness World Record for the largest payout on an online slot machine, a title confirmed directly by Guinness World Records. The figure is £13,209,300 (€17,879,645), won by British player Jon Heywood on Microgaming’s original Mega Moolah via Betway’s website on 6 October 2015 – a decade-old win that continues to do heavy lifting for the brand’s marketing.

The network keeps producing smaller, more frequent wins alongside that headline number. In May, Games Global paid three William Hill players a combined £3.15 million through King Millions alone, part of more than £11 million distributed across the supplier’s networks that month. For an operator plugging into the system now, that ongoing win frequency is arguably a stronger commercial hook than the 2015 record itself.

Jackpots as a distribution play

SkillOnNet’s expansion lands in a market where progressive jackpots have become less of a standalone product category and more of a distribution mechanic that suppliers and operators are attaching to everything else they sell.

EGT Digital used the same logic to push into Superbet’s Greek platform with its Bell Link and Clover Chance systems, while EveryMatrix’s engagement tooling has been generating six and seven-figure wins for ATG in Sweden on a repeat basis rather than as a one-off launch story.

Operators are stretching the mechanic beyond casino, too. bet365 built a progressive jackpot directly into its sports betslip ahead of the World Cup, and on the supplier side, RubyPlay’s acquisition of jackpot specialist Splash Tech points to consolidation around jackpot infrastructure as its own asset class, separate from game content.

SkillOnNet operates more than 40 regulated iGaming sites, including PlayOJO, DrückGlück, BacanaPlay and Genting Casino. Whether the wider Games Global rollout moves the needle on any of them will come down to something less glamorous than a Guinness record: how often the smaller prizes drop, and whether that keeps players logging back in between the headline wins.
