Tequity Publishing has launched K-Pop Drop, a new Burst Game from Australian studio Mirror Image Gaming, in an exclusive first release on Stake, the online casino and sportsbook attracting over 100 million monthly visits globally.

The title went live on 11 May 2026 and will remain exclusive to Stake for one week before rolling out to Tequity’s broader operator network from 18 May.

What is K-Pop Drop?

K-Pop Drop is an anime-inspired Burst Game built around a falling mechanic. Players follow Sakura, a fictional K-Pop star descending through a vibrant cityscape as she chases escalating multipliers. The game features landing zones, multiplier boosts, bonus features and hazard elements, with a stated maximum win potential of 5,000x.

Burst Games are a distinct RNG format that trades traditional reel mechanics for rapid, character-led gameplay designed to appeal to streaming audiences. Mirror Image Gaming released its debut title Royal Drop via Tequity Publishing earlier in 2026.

The two companies confirmed the new title draws on the growing appetite for content that sits outside conventional slots, targeting players who seek more interactive, socially driven gaming sessions.

Dominic Sawyer, VP Growth at Tequity, said:

“Players today are looking for more interactive, entertaining experiences that feel highly engaging from the first second of gameplay. Mirror Image Gaming has done a fantastic job creating a game with real personality and strong replayability, and we’re excited to launch it first with Stake before rolling it out across the wider network.”

Stake as launch platform

The exclusive arrangement with Stake gives K-Pop Drop immediate exposure to one of the largest audiences in online gambling. Gray Wagner, CEO of Mirror Image Gaming, said:

“We wanted K-Pop Drop to feel fast, unpredictable, energetic, and memorable – something that instantly stands out both visually and through gameplay. Working with Tequity Publishing and launching first with Stake gives the game an incredibly strong platform from day one, and we’re excited to see players experience it.”

Tequity describes its role as distinct from traditional aggregation. Rather than acting solely as a distribution layer, the company supports studios with commercial rollout, launch coordination and operator activation.

Since launching its Publishing vertical in January 2026, it has distributed Mirror Image Gaming content through partners including Hub88 and Spartans, with several further operator activations confirmed in the coming weeks.

Wider rollout

The exclusive window closes on 18 May, after which K-Pop Drop becomes available across Tequity’s operator network. Tequity says it currently supports more than 30 RGS clients and has completed over 100 integrations across regulated markets.

The launch puts more weight behind entertainment led design, as studios push to build games that hold attention beyond the base mechanic, especially through stream friendly formats and creator audiences.

For operators planning content strategy, Burst Games are carving out space between traditional casino releases and casual gaming, with the category showing clear potential to bring in players who do not typically engage with slot heavy products.
