Xpoint, a geolocation and compliance technology company, has entered the regulated sports betting market in Missouri, marking the latest step in the Miami-based supplier’s North American expansion strategy.

The company was licensed and operational in the Show-Me State on day one of the market opening on 1 December 2025, ensuring all player activity complies with legal requirements set by the Missouri Gaming Commission.

Missouri’s market opening saw eight operators launch on day one, with the state recording more than 250,000 active accounts in the first 24 hours.

Operators including PENN Entertainment’s theScore Bet brand launched in Missouri, with geolocation technology essential for meeting state regulatory requirements.

Manu Gambhir, chief executive officer of Xpoint, said:

“Entering the Missouri market is a significant milestone for Xpoint as we continue to scale our footprint across North America. We are proud to provide the advanced geolocation technology required to ensure a secure and fully compliant environment for the state’s players.

“This expansion, alongside our recent entry into Brazil and the UAE, underscores the global demand for more innovative and adaptable compliance solutions. Our presence in Missouri is another step forward in our mission to be the primary geolocation partner for the regulated gaming world.”

Expanded US presence

The expansion into Missouri increases Xpoint’s capability to support regulated online sports wagering in 27 states nationwide, as well as Ontario in Canada. All licensed operators must verify that players are physically located within Missouri state boundaries before accepting wagers.

Xpoint’s platform uses geofencing technology to offer precision location accuracy, preventing fraudulent players from making wagers and highlighting suspicious activity.

The company’s advanced platform is built specifically for the gaming industry and provides services to sports betting, iGaming, lottery, sweepstakes, and daily fantasy operators.

Current partners include bet365 and PrizePicks in North America. Xpoint competes with established providers including GeoComply, which recorded over 2.6 million geolocation checks in Missouri during the first 24 hours of operations.

International growth and funding

Recent advancements worldwide include going live with partners in Brazil and the UAE. In the UAE, Xpoint provides services to the UAE Lottery and Play971, the first regulated online gaming and sports betting entity in the region.

Xpoint recently secured a new investment round to accelerate growth and enable further differentiation from competitors through product enhancement.

The company is backed by venture capital groups including Bettor Capital, Courtside Ventures, Acies Investments, SuRo Capital, and The Raine Group.

The funding supports continued expansion into newly regulated markets and development of additional compliance features. The geolocation sector has become essential infrastructure for operators in regulated markets, where licensing requirements mandate verification that all wagers originate from within authorised jurisdictions.
