  • FanDuel has named Ari Avishay as senior vice president of marketing, replacing Andrew Sneyd who departed in July 2025.
  • Avishay joins from Paramount+, where he led brand and content marketing across more than 45 global markets over nearly four years.
  • The hire comes as parent company Flutter Entertainment reported Q3 2025 group revenue of $3.79bn, a 17% year-on-year increase.

FanDuel has appointed entertainment marketing veteran Ari Avishay as senior vice president (SVP) of marketing. He will oversee brand strategy, creative direction, and consumer insights across FanDuel’s portfolio, spanning FanDuel Sportsbook, FanDuel TV, and Stardust Casino.

Avishay reports directly to Mike Raffensperger, president of sports at FanDuel. The appointment fills a senior vacancy left by former EVP of marketing Andrew Sneyd, who exited the company in July 2025.

A background in global content marketing

Avishay brings more than 15 years of executive marketing experience, primarily in subscription media and entertainment. He joined FanDuel from Paramount+, where he served as SVP of global content marketing for nearly four years.

In that role, he oversaw brand, content, social, and partner marketing across more than 45 international markets. His tenure contributed to a doubling of Paramount+’s subscriber base and record revenue at the platform.

Before Paramount+, Avishay was vice president of content marketing at Hulu, where he directed campaigns for original series and films including The Handmaid’s Tale. He also spent two years as director of brand marketing at Lyft, and nearly eight years at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), managing relationships for global consumer brands.

He is a recognised member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the CAA Global Fellowship, and his work has earned recognition at the Cannes Lions and the Emmy Awards.

Avishay announced his departure from Paramount+ via LinkedIn at the close of 2025, taking a brief hiatus before confirming his move to FanDuel.

Mike Raffensperger, president of sports at FanDuel, commented:

“Ari brings a proven track record of driving brand awareness, cultural relevance, and meaningful growth for iconic brands at the intersection of content, media, sports, and entertainment,” said Raffensperger.

“As FanDuel continues to define the future of sports entertainment, Ari’s experience and perspective will help take our brand to the next level.”

What the role involves

In his new position, Avishay is tasked with evolving how FanDuel presents its products, features, and experiences to consumers. This includes overseeing integrated marketing campaigns and data-led storytelling across the operator’s full portfolio.

FanDuel’s current brand framework, the “Play Your Game” platform, positions the operator less as a promotional loudhailer and more as a narrator of the fan experience. The strategy was on display in the company’s recent “Last Call for Football” campaign, developed with agency Arts & Letters.

The campaign culminated with a premium Super Bowl LX placement just before kickoff, leaning into the idea that the Super Bowl marks both the biggest game of the year and the last.

Avishay’s remit also touches on responsible gaming communications. FanDuel has been reshaping its responsible gaming approach through its “Play with a Plan” initiative, and separately announced a ban on credit card deposits from March 2026.

FanDuel’s broader strategic picture

The hire arrives at a pivotal moment for FanDuel and its parent company, Flutter Entertainment (NYSE: FLUT; LSE: FLTR). Flutter posted group revenue of $3.79bn in Q3 2025, up 17% year-on-year, driven by organic iGaming growth and the acquisitions of Snai and Betnacional. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter reached $478m, up 6% year-on-year.

In the US, FanDuel holds a 43% share of the online sports betting market and 27% of the iGaming segment, according to Flutter’s Q3 earnings release. US iGaming revenue grew 44% year-on-year in the same period.

FanDuel has also been expanding its media footprint. It signed on as the first major sponsor for NBA and WNBA coverage on Prime Video, becoming the official odds provider in a multi-year deal with Amazon.

In December 2025, FanDuel and CME Group launched FanDuel Predicts, a prediction markets app that is now live across all 50 states, offering sports markets in 18 of them. The product targets consumers in states where online sports betting remains unregulated.

That expansion has not been without friction. FanDuel and DraftKings resigned from the American Gaming Association to pursue prediction markets, and both operators subsequently exited Nevada following a conflict with state gaming regulators over the product’s classification.

The iGaming industry has increasingly drawn senior talent from outside the sector’s traditional boundaries. Operators now compete not just on odds and product features, but on cultural resonance and long-term customer loyalty,  areas where media and entertainment executives hold a natural advantage.
