- DraftKings and FanDuel have signed new multi-year deals with the NFL, renewing partnerships dating back to 2021.
- Fanatics Betting and Gaming has signed its own multi-year agreement, becoming the league’s third official sports betting partner.
- All three operators gain rights to NFL marks, Next Gen Stats data through Genius Sports, and presence at events including the Super Bowl.
The National Football League has signed multi-year commercial agreements with DraftKings, FanDuel and Fanatics Betting and Gaming, confirming all three as official sports betting partners ahead of the 2026 season.
The league announced the deals on Thursday, August 27, renewing its longstanding ties with DraftKings and FanDuel and adding Fanatics as a new entrant to the category.
New lineup confirmed
DraftKings and FanDuel first became NFL sports betting partners in 2021, alongside Caesars Sportsbook. All three deals lapsed earlier this year, and Caesars chose not to pursue a new agreement with the league.
Fanatics Betting and Gaming signed on as the league’s sportsbook partner earlier this month, filling the gap left by Caesars.
DraftKings will also continue as the NFL’s Official Daily Fantasy Sports Partner, a status it has held since 2019. Fanatics becomes the league’s Official Online Casino Marketing Partner, adding Fanatics Casino alongside its sportsbook tie-up.
Renie Anderson, executive vice president and chief revenue officer at the NFL, said:
“We are thrilled to have three world-class partners in the sports betting category. DraftKings, FanDuel and Fanatics share our vision for innovation and fan engagement, but most importantly, our commitment to protecting the integrity of the game. We look forward to navigating this next chapter in sports betting together.”
Access and integrity
Under the new deals, all three operators can use NFL marks to promote online and retail sports betting, and will have hospitality access at league events such as the Super Bowl and NFL Draft. Each partner also gets real-time play-by-play data, proprietary Next Gen Stats and BetVision through Genius Sports, the league’s exclusive data distributor.
The operators agreed in turn to follow the league’s game integrity policies. That includes a ban on wagers the NFL considers risky, such as bets tied to officiating decisions or player injuries, plus bets that are easy to predict or manipulate.
Each club keeps an integrity representative, typically a retired FBI agent or senior law enforcement officer, and all players, coaches and staff must complete gambling policy training every year.
Stephanie Sherman, chief marketing officer at DraftKings, said:
“Nothing compares to football season for DraftKings and our millions of customers. Working with the NFL allows us to put the DraftKings brand alongside the biggest games of the season, from Kickoff through the Super Bowl. That presence is especially meaningful for DraftKings as the #1 sportsbook for live betting, giving fans more ways to engage with every drive, play and moment as it happens. We’re excited to continue bringing that experience to football fans across the country.”
On behalf on FanDuel, President Christian Genetski, said:
“For the last five years, the NFL has been an important partner in helping build a legal and regulated sports betting industry that puts fans and the integrity of the game at the center. We’re proud of what we’ve built together and look forward to continuing to find new ways for fans to engage with the games they love.”
Matt King, chief executive officer of Fanatics Betting and Gaming, said:
“We are thrilled to expand Fanatics’ partnership with the NFL to include Fanatics Sportsbook and Fanatics Casino, bringing fans even closer to the game they love. This deal underscores our vision for Fanatics as a true digital sports platform – a single destination where fans can bet, play and engage with the NFL all in one place.”
Responsible gambling push
The NFL has run a responsible betting campaign since 2021, working with the National Council on Problem Gambling. It has given that group its two largest grants on record: $6.2 million in 2021 and $6.4 million in 2024.
The league also supports programs with the Responsible Gambling Council and the International Center for Responsible Gaming aimed at college athletes and students, and will run its “Stick to Your Game Plan, Always Bet Responsibly” campaign again this season.
The new deals close a roughly five-month gap for the NFL, which had gone without a sportsbook partner since the prior deals lapsed, the first such gap since the league entered the category in 2021.
DraftKings, FanDuel and Fanatics are now the only three operators allowed to use the NFL shield in their marketing this season.
