BetMGM has launched BetMGM Jackpots, a new progressive SideBet feature now live across more than 200 eligible casino games in Michigan.
The optional $0.10 side wager gives players a shot at four progressive jackpot tiers, led by a Mega Jackpot that starts at $500,000 and has already grown past $618,000.
Four tiers, one bet
Players who opt in can place a fixed $0.10 SideBet alongside qualifying wagers on eligible casino games. Each SideBet carries a chance at one of four progressive tiers: Mini, Minor, Major and Mega.
The three smaller tiers carry lower starting values than the Mega Jackpot, which begins at $500,000 and increases as players participate across eligible games. The feature sits inside the BetMGM Jackpots interface, where customers can track live jackpot values, see which games qualify and check recent winners.
BetMGM says opting into the SideBet does not affect the outcome of the underlying casino game. Players can turn the SideBet on or off at any time, from the BetMGM Casino homepage, promotion settings or directly inside eligible games.
Expansion planned
BetMGM Jackpots has launched first in Michigan. The operator said it expects to expand the feature into additional markets during summer and autumn 2026, subject to regulatory approval in each jurisdiction.
Oliver Bartlett, Vice President of Gaming at BetMGM, said:
“iGaming continues to be the growth engine of our business, fueled by product innovation and differentiated player experiences. SideBet Jackpots expands the ways players can engage with our casino offering while creating additional opportunities to win across a growing network of games. It’s another example of how we’re investing in product enhancements that help distinguish BetMGM Casino.”
Fits a bigger network
BetMGM’s casino arm already runs one of the largest state-by-state exclusive progressive jackpot networks in the US, spanning more than 25 games including MGM Grand Millions, Bison Fury and 15 Lanterns.
Michigan has led BetMGM’s other US markets in jackpot payouts every year since 2024, accounting for $42.6 million of the operator’s $122.1 million total across 2025. Last year, rival DraftKings paid out out a record jackpot of $22.4 million to a Michigan player.
The launch also follows a strong year for BetMGM’s parent, after Entain reported the operator’s return to profit in its FY25 results. Jackpot-linked side bets are drawing wider interest elsewhere too, with supplier SkillOnNet recently announcing its own jackpot content expansion into new markets.
Players can also earn BetMGM Rewards Points and Tier Credits while playing at BetMGM Casino, redeemable for digital bonuses, MGM Rewards Points and Marriott Bonvoy Points.
Any expansion into New Jersey, Pennsylvania or West Virginia, BetMGM’s other live casino states, would remain subject to approval from the relevant state regulators.
