Aristocrat Interactive exits UK white-label business

• Aristocrat Interactive has begun shutting down multiple white-label brands in the UK, with several closures effective from December 2025.
• At least a dozen casino brands have ceased operations or announced closure dates, including Luckland, SpinShake and Cashiopeia.
• The move follows UK tax increases that will raise Remote Gaming Duty from 21% to 40% in April 2026.

Aristocrat Interactive has commenced a large-scale withdrawal from its UK white-label casino operations through its Aspire Global division.

Multiple brands have ceased activity since December 2025, marking a strategic retreat from the market as operators prepare for punishing tax increases.

The company has confirmed to affiliate partners that it is discontinuing its white-label offering in the UK and exiting the market, though some brands may migrate to alternative platforms. Brands including Luckland, SpinShake and Cashiopeia stopped accepting wagers on 31 December 2025.

Aristocrat Interactive has sent a statement to iGB Affiliate:

“Aristocrat Interactive confirms it is planning to cease offering white-label iGaming services to customers. This change is expected to be effective 30 June 2026, subject to appropriate customer consultation and any regulatory requirements.

“As we are planning to exit the market, we will work with partners to address any remaining contracted arrangements and support a smooth process for our partners and players. This follows a review of Aristocrat Interactive’s white-label operations, which determined that these are not core to its growth strategy. This change will help ensure that the business is fully focused on its highest growth priorities.”

Wave of closures across white-label portfolio

At least a dozen casino brands operating under AG Communications Limited‘s UK Gambling Commission licence have either shut down or announced imminent closure. Sites including jaakcasino.com, playluck.com and toptally.com became inactive in January 2026.

Additional brands such as Hot7Casino, 24Spin and CasinoLuck have notified customers they will cease accepting bets after 12 February and close completely by 26 February. The AG Communications Limited licence currently lists 30 active casinos, though several are transitioning to alternative platforms or being sold.

Tax hikes drive strategic withdrawal

The closures follow the UK government’s announcement in November 2025 of steep increases to online gambling taxation. Remote Gaming Duty will rise from 21% to 40% effective April 2026, whilst a new 25% rate will apply to most forms of online betting.

Additional regulatory changes include a 10x cap on bonus wagering requirements, introduced on 19 January 2026, and a ban on mixed product promotion. The combined effect has forced operators to reassess their UK market strategies.

Regulatory penalties preceded withdrawal

Aspire Global’s UK difficulties predate the current wave of closures. In March 2025, AG Communications Limited received a £1.4 million settlement order from the Gambling Commission for social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures.

The company became part of the Aristocrat Interactive ecosystem following NeoGames’ acquisition by Aristocrat in 2024. Aristocrat combinedits Anaxi operations with NeoGames’ businesses—including NeoGames, Aspire Global, BtoBet and Pariplay—under the Aristocrat Interactive brand in June 2024.

The Australian gaming giant has been active in consolidating its online presence, recently agreeing to acquire Awager to expand live slot streaming capabilities. The company also settled a £127.5 million intellectual property dispute with Light Wonder over Dragon Train slot mechanics.

Brand transitions and domain sales

The fate of defunct Aspire Global brands varies. The luckland.com domain has been converted into an affiliate site promoting competing online casinos. Other properties such as Karamba.com and griffoncasino.com have changed domain extensions to “.co.uk” and transferred to other licences.

Several domains have been listed for sale, whilst brands including Hot7Casino and 24Spin are transitioning to new licence and platform providers. Affiliate programmes have requested partners submit all invoices related to closed brands by 30 January 2026, with some affiliate accounts scheduled for closure in February.
