Amusnet Gaming has obtained a Gaming-Related Supplier–Manufacturer Registration from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), giving the Malta-based B2B software provider its first regulated market access in North America.

The AGCO registration allows content providers to supply titles to licensed iGaming operators active within Ontario’s regulated online casino market, managed by iGaming Ontario (iGO) since its launch in April 2022.

iGO’s latest reporting shows that total wagering handle across online casino gaming, digital sports betting, and online poker increased 31% in Canadian fiscal year 2024-25, with gross gaming revenue for the period exceeding CA$3.2 billion, up 33.7% year on year.

Ontario is widely regarded by B2B providers as the primary entry point for the North American regulated market. The province is considered not only one of the most regulated iGaming markets in the world, but a strategically important gateway to North America as a whole.

Securing the AGCO registration is a prerequisite for providers seeking to distribute content to any of the licensed operators currently live on the iGO platform.

Amusnet Gaming is the B2B software arm of the broader Amusnet Group, headquartered in Malta with additional strategic offices in Spain, Croatia, Italy, and the Netherlands. Together, Amusnet and Amusnet Gaming have established a presence in over 85 countries. The company’s portfolio includes more than 250 slots, table games, and a live casino studio, available across more than 230 operators’ websites in 20 jurisdictions.

The group traces its origins to Euro Games Technology (EGT), founded in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2002, and underwent a full rebrand to Amusnet in 2023 following an intermediate identity as Amusnet Interactive.

Its existing regulatory credentials include a Corporate Group Critical Gaming Supply License from the Malta Gaming Authority, a Class II license from Romania’s National Gambling Office, a supplier license from the Danish Gambling Authority issued in December 2024, and a permit from the Swedish Gambling Authority.

Market context

Ontario’s regulated framework requires all gaming content providers to register with the AGCO before their titles can be distributed to licensed operators. The AGCO, supported by iGO, oversees the licensing and supervision of all internet gaming operators and providers in the province, covering online casino, sports betting, and gaming suppliers.

Amusnet Gaming’s Ontario entry follows a period of active market expansion. The company opened a Brazil office and has been increasing its presence across regulated LatAm markets. It was recently named Best Game Studio at the SiGMA Awards South America 2026 and Best Slot Developer at the GamingTECH Awards 2026.

The Ontario license positions Amusnet Gaming to supply content to the growing roster of iGO-registered operators. As of late 2025, monthly wagers in Ontario exceeded CA$8 billion, confirming steady demand across a mature ecosystem of operators, content providers, platforms, and independent testing laboratories.

What comes next

The Ontario credential is likely to strengthen Amusnet Gaming’s position as it pursues further North American licensing. Other Canadian provinces and several US iGaming states are increasingly on the radar of European providers seeking regulated market diversification.

For operators already active on the iGO platform, the registration opens the door to commercial agreements with one of the more established European slot portfolios yet to formally enter the Canadian market.
