Yggdrasil has expanded its YGG Masters programme with the addition of Lakka Studios, a Nordic independent game developer.

As the 20th studio to join the YGG Masters family, Lakka Studios gains access to Yggdrasil’s development tools and global distribution network. The studio will utilise the Game in a Box™ platform, which streamlines the game development process and provides market access through Yggdrasil’s operator partnerships.

Nordic studio adds fresh design approach

Lakka Studios focuses on light-hearted gameplay combined with polished visuals and player-centric mechanics. The studio’s design philosophy aims to add variety to the YGG Masters catalogue, which serves Yggdrasil’s operator partners and players across multiple jurisdictions.

The Game in a Box™ platform offers partner studios an end-to-end development environment, handling technical infrastructure whilst allowing studios to concentrate on game design and mechanics. Lakka Studios joins other independent developers in adopting the platform for their production workflows.
