Veikkaus, Finland’s state-owned gambling operator, has announced a strategic partnership with esports betting solutions provider Oddin.gg to bolster its esports portfolio.

The collaboration aims to double the operator’s esports-related revenue within the next year as the company prepares for increased competition following planned regulatory reforms.

The partnership will see Oddin.gg’s technology and data powering Veikkaus’s esports offering, with an initial focus on Counter-Strike 2 markets.

The integration includes access to Oddin.gg’s exclusive CS2 Duels through its 24/7 Fast Betting Content offering, designed to provide fresh engagement opportunities for Finnish bettors.

“Esports have been an important part of Veikkaus’ portfolio for several years, but in recent years it has been challenging to deliver a truly competitive offering and experience,” said Andreas Reimblad, VP of Sports Betting at Veikkaus.

“What we value most in Oddin.gg is their drive to continuously improve the product and customer experience, while already being in a leading position. Together, we can take esports betting at Veikkaus to the next level, and we are extremely excited to work together with Oddin.gg”.

Finland’s esports betting market is projected to reach US$14.6 million in 2025, representing a growing segment within the country’s broader gambling industry. The country’s online gambling market generated an estimated gross gaming revenue of US$1.31 billion in 2025, with a user penetration rate of 20.6%.

“What makes this partnership exciting is the mindset Veikkaus brings,” commented Marek Suchar, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Oddin.gg.

“They’re serious about growing their esports offering and are already thinking beyond the basics—looking at things like local tournament data, new formats, and long-term product development. It’s the kind of collaboration where we can create something genuinely impactful—not just deliver and walk away”.

The agreement comes at a significant time for Finland’s gambling landscape. The government has proposed legislation to end Veikkaus’s monopoly on online casino games, slots and betting by the end of 2026, with licensed operators expected to enter the market from January 2027.

Veikkaus will retain exclusive rights only to lottery games and physical slot machines in kiosks and casinos under the new framework.

Oddin.gg has established itself as a leading B2B provider in the esports betting sector, powering solutions for major operators including Betano, ESPNbet, Stake, Betsson and Betway. The company holds licenses in multiple US states and Ontario, Canada, with additional North American licenses in progress.
