The UAE Lottery completes its first year of operations with AED 147 million (€36.5 million) paid out to more than 100,000 winners. This state-regulated platform launched in November 2024 under the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority. It now offers over 20 games to residents aged 18 and above.
The lottery produced 5 millionaires through its draws. One player received an AED 100 million (€24.9 million) Grand Prize in October 2025. Another 233 winners took AED 100,000 (€24,900) each via Lucky Day, Lucky Chance, and scratch cards.
Scratch cards awarded five AED 1 million (€249,000) top prizes. Entry prices start at AED 1 (€0.25) for these instant games. Daily options include Pick 3, Pick 4, and Colour Prediction.
“Our first year proved just how exciting and rewarding The UAE Lottery can be, with unforgettable wins and incredible stories from players across the UAE. The trust, enthusiasm, and remarkable moments we’ve witnessed define the experience we’re proud to offer today,” said Scott Burton, Commercial Gaming Director at The UAE Lottery.
Lucky Day Draw moved to weekly from bi-monthly on 29 November 2025. The second prize rose to AED 5 million (€1.25 million) from AED 1 million (€249,000). The AED 30 million (€7.5 million) Grand Prize stays the same.
New games, digital upgrades, and prize changes are set for 2026. The Game LLC runs the lottery with a focus on fair play. These steps aim to draw more players in a controlled market. Operators gain from steady growth in the UAE gaming, making the country a top destination for iGaming.
