Tonybet has launched its World Cup Card Collection campaign for Irish customers to coincide with the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, offering a €100,000 prize fund across the tournament.
How the campaign works
Irish players can collect a wide range of card packs by completing weekly sportsbook and casino quests throughout the tournament. There are 51 cards in total to collect.
These include 48 standard digital cards, one for each participating World Cup nation, and three unique physical cards available in gold, silver and bronze.
Each card collected carries a coin value that can be exchanged for bonus rewards across the Tonybet platform.
Cash prizes on offer
Winners of the three unique physical cards will also claim cash prizes. The gold card carries €75,000, the silver card €20,000 and the bronze card €5,000, alongside the one-of-a-kind handcrafted cards themselves.
As part of its Ireland focused World Cup activity, Tonybet will also release a content campaign revealing which nation Irish fans will support at the tournament in North America. The series is fronted by brand ambassador Tony Cascarino, with the Republic of Ireland having failed to qualify for this summer’s competition.
Kiryl Liudvikevich, Head of Product at Tonybet, said:
“While Ireland fans won’t be able to get behind their team at the World Cup this summer, our World Cup Card Collection campaign will ensure our Irish customers have plenty of reasons to stay engaged through the tournament over the coming weeks.
“By completing quests, collecting card packs, unlocking collection bonuses, and chasing three one-of-a-kind physical cards available throughout the World Cup, there’s a share of €100,000 up for grabs. And with new rewards, tier completion bonuses, and exclusive collectibles on offer, every card pack could bring our players one step closer to a summer to remember.”
World Cup promotional rush
The campaign is part of the World Cup themed promotions wave as operators compete for attention during the tournament. Recent activations include bet365’s collectible game launch via Playbook Fusion and BC.GAME’s reward pool campaign worth more than $2m.
Tonybet, headquartered in Riga, holds licences in Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Canada (Ontario and Kahnawake), Latvia, Estonia and Ireland. The campaign runs from 1 June to 31 July 2026, covering World Cup matches only, with wagering and validity terms applying.
Operators chasing engagement during a 104 match, 48 nation tournament are increasingly turning to collection mechanics like Tonybet’s, especially where the home crowd has nothing to cheer for on the pitch. For Irish facing brands, that kind of sustained hook may matter more than ever over the coming weeks.
