Pragmatic Play has secured full certification to supply its sportsbook product to licensed operators in Brazil, marking a significant expansion of the company’s presence in the newly regulated market.

The certification comes nine months after Brazil officially launched its regulated online gambling market in January 2025, following years of regulatory development. Operators in Brazil can now integrate Pragmatic Play’s sportsbook platform, which offers extensive pre-match and in-play betting markets across multiple sports.

Pragmatic Play already maintains a presence in the Brazilian market through its casino gaming portfolio, with multiple titles certified for local operators. The company has been actively pursuing regulatory compliance across Latin America, with executives expressing high expectations for the region.

Gareth Crook, SVP of Sports at Pragmatic Play, said:

“Achieving certification in Brazil is a major milestone for Pragmatic Play Sports and a clear signal of our commitment to the market. It ensures operators can integrate our sportsbook product with full confidence that it meets local regulatory standards.

“With Brazil shaping up to be one of the most dynamic regulated sports betting markets in the world, we’re excited to support operators in delivering a compliant, competitive, and engaging product to their players.”

The sportsbook certification strengthens Pragmatic Play’s multi-vertical approach in Brazil, complementing its existing casino and live dealer offerings available to licensed operators in the market.

The Brazilian market presents substantial opportunities for certified operators, with industry experts predicting the regulated sports betting sector could reach $34bn in turnover by 2028. Licensed operators are required to pay a BRL 30 million fee for a five-year licence and face a 12% tax on gross gaming revenue.
