Peter & Sons, the Barcelona-based game development studio, has secured a content distribution agreement with online gaming operator Interwetten.

Portfolio of distinctive titles

The deal brings Peter & Sons’ distinctive hand-drawn slots to Interwetten’s established player base across key European territories.

The studio, founded in 2019, has built a reputation for its creative approach to game development, combining quirky characters with storytelling rooted in humour, fantasy and folklore.

Peter & Sons’ catalogue features titles including Barbarossa, Xibalba, Wild 1 and Voodoo Hex. Recent releases include Zombie Road and Bubblegum and Robbo. The studio’s games are characterised by unmistakable hand-drawn artwork that sets them apart from conventional slot designs.

The Barcelona and Yerevan-based developer is licensed in more than 15 jurisdictions globally. The company was established with a stated mission to embody “the anti-boring” approach to casino game development.

Established operator partnership

Interwetten was founded in 1990 and made history in 1997 when it became one of the first operators to offer sports betting online. The operator has since established itself as a leader in digital gaming, offering services in more than 200 countries and ten languages.

The operator maintains a particularly strong presence in German-speaking countries and southern Europe. Interwetten holds licences from the Malta Gaming Authority since 2005 and in Germany since 2020. The operator has also completed licensing procedures in Greece, Spain, Ireland and Sweden.

Yann Bautista, commercial director and founder of Peter & Sons, commented on the partnership.

“Many operators claim to be innovators, but few can be said to be true pioneers in the iGaming space like Interwetten, and we’re thrilled to partner with them. Their long-standing reputation and strong presence across key European markets make them an ideal strategic ally as we continue to expand our footprint and reach new players with our unique content.”

Mario Bilic, director of products at Interwetten, said:

“We’ve long been admirers of Peter & Sons’ distinctive work, which stands out for its originality and quality. This is a studio that dares to be different, and we’re delighted to bring their games to our players.”

Strategic expansion

The Interwetten agreement represents the latest content distribution deal for Peter & Sons as the studio expands its reach across European markets. The developer has recently secured partnerships across Europe and South America as part of its growth strategy.

Peter & Sons operates from offices in Yerevan and Barcelona. The studio was founded by international gaming professionals and enthusiasts who sought to differentiate their approach to casino game development through distinctive visual style and creative gameplay mechanics.

The partnership with Interwetten provides Peter & Sons with access to regulated markets where the operator holds established positions. Germany represents a key market following the country’s regulated online gambling framework, whilst Greece, Spain and Sweden offer growing opportunities for licensed content providers.

Interwetten’s focus on player protection and responsible gambling aligns with regulatory requirements across its licensed territories. The operator has invested in developing technologies to improve the betting experience whilst maintaining player safety standards.

The deal expands Peter & Sons’ distribution network across European regulated markets, building on the studio’s existing presence in more than 15 jurisdictions. The studio’s portfolio of creative slots content will be integrated into Interwetten’s gaming platform across the operator’s licensed territories.

Peter & Sons serves the global gaming market with a focus on regulated jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements. The studio’s distinctive approach to game design has gained recognition across the industry for its originality and quality.
