FanDuel Casino has released Love Island: Unlocked, a bespoke slot developed by White Hat Gaming as the second installment in its exclusive multi-game partnership with ITV Studios’ Zoo 55 label.
The title went live yesterday on June 1, 2026, timed to coincide with the Season 8 premiere of Love Island USA, and is available in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, West Virginia, Michigan, and Ontario.
New gameplay mechanics
Love Island: Unlocked introduces a Select-A-Character mode, described by FanDuel as a first-of-its-kind feature in its slot games, allowing players to step into the role of their favorite Islander.
Randomly triggered modifiers keep gameplay unpredictable: “Bombshell in The Villa” adds bonus symbols to the reels, and “Dumping Night” refreshes the reels for maximum win potential.
The title also features Megaways™ mechanics with thousands of ways to win per spin, Hideaway Bonus Spins with multipliers of up to 10x, and Collect Features and Cashpots that unlock Mini, Maxi, Major, and Mega reward tiers.
Daniele Phillips, Senior Vice President of Marketing at FanDuel Casino, said:
“As America’s #1 iGaming operator, we are constantly looking for innovative ways to bring fresh entertainment experiences to our customers while reaching new audiences.
“Love Island is known for having an incredibly passionate and engaged fanbase and with this latest launch, we’re continuing to bring the spirit and thrill of the franchise to players in new ways, exclusively on FanDuel Casino.”
Ariana Madix, host of Love Island USA and lead ambassador for the launch, said:
“Love Island has become a defining part of summer entertainment, so launching Love Island: Unlocked alongside the premiere of the new season feels like the perfect fit.
“It’s incredible to see so many iconic moments and fan-favorite elements from The Villa woven into the game in a way that creates an immersive experience that truly captures the energy, excitement and fun viewers love about the series.”
June prize campaign
Throughout June, FanDuel Casino customers can access a $500,000 prize pool as part of the Ultimate Island Giveaway sweepstakes, with the grand prize a luxury trip for two to Fiji. Free reward box drops will also be available to eligible players during the campaign period.
Steve Watling, SVP Gaming at Zoo 55, ITV Studios, said:
“This new slot game is feature rich and a great gaming experience for fans of Love Island to enjoy.”
Lex Scott, VP Gaming at Zoo 55, ITV Studios, added:
“White Hat have bought their A-game for the second product launch of FanDuel’s stellar roadmap and we are so excited to see FanDuel working with Ariana.”
Love Island: Unlocked follows Love Island Reel Vibes, which launched in December 2025 as the first title in the collaboration.
Further releases are expected across the partnership’s multi-year roadmap. FanDuel is a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment plc, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker FLUT.
IP licensing gains ground
Branded entertainment slots have become an increasingly central part of how US iGaming operators compete for new customers.
FanDuel has paired the Love Island: Unlocked launch with a celebrity ambassador in Ariana Madix and a time-limited sweepstakes, a combination designed to pull in audiences well beyond the operator’s existing casino player base.
The franchise’s mobile-native fanbase makes it a particularly natural fit. Love Island USA viewers are already accustomed to high-frequency digital engagement, which translates readily to online casino habits.
With more titles expected under the multi-year ITV Studios deal, FanDuel’s content roadmap for the rest of 2026 points to further IP-driven launches. White Hat Gaming‘s growing presence across regulated US markets suggests the studio will remain a key production partner as that slate develops.
