Sweden-based game developer Gaming Corps has entered the Ontario iGaming market through an exclusive content partnership with BetMGM, making the operator the first to distribute the studio’s complete game portfolio in Canada’s largest regulated province.

The partnership grants BetMGM exclusive access to Gaming Corps’ content library for an initial period before wider market distribution begins.

Ontario players can now access the developer’s full range of titles through BetMGM Casino, including popular releases such as 3 Pigs of Olympus and Gates of Hellfire.

Proprietary mechanics debut in Canadian market

The agreement introduces Ontario players to Gaming Corps’ signature game mechanics, including the A-MAZE-CADES™ series and the instant-win Smash4Cash™ collection.

BetMGM Casino will also feature the X-MY-WAY™ challenge system, which appears in titles including Hoop Champion and Golf Champion, offering interactive and personalised gameplay elements.

The publicly-listed developer, which maintains development teams across Great Britain, Malta, and Ukraine alongside its Swedish headquarters, has focused its expansion strategy on regulated markets.

Founded in 2014, Gaming Corps produces traditional and non-traditional premium casino content, spanning slots, table games, multiplier games, mine games, and Plinko-style offerings.

Adam Pentecost, Chief Revenue Officer at Gaming Corps, commented:

“Ontario has quickly become one of the most exciting regulated markets in North America, and we’re thrilled to be making our debut with BetMGM as our first operator partner in the province.”

“The opportunity to launch with such a high-profile brand, on an exclusive basis, allows us to showcase our content to an engaged player base and demonstrate the unique experiences we can deliver. This is an important milestone in our North American expansion strategy, and we look forward to seeing how Ontario players respond to our portfolio.”

Strategic positioning in competitive market

BetMGM’s decision to secure exclusive access to Gaming Corps’ portfolio reflects the operator’s content differentiation strategy in Ontario’s competitive regulated environment. The province launched its regulated iGaming market in April 2022, attracting numerous international operators and suppliers.

Oliver Bartlett, Vice President of Gaming at BetMGM, said:

“Exclusivity matters because it gives our players something they can’t find anywhere else and sets us apart in a competitive market. Gaming Corps’ engaging and interactive content portfolio is a fantastic addition to BetMGM Casino.”

The partnership marks Gaming Corps’ first entry into a regulated Canadian jurisdiction, following the company’s established presence in European and other international markets.

The Swedish developer has recently expanded its operator network through agreements with UK operator PricedUp and Buzz Bingo, alongside a partnership with MozzartBet in regulated African markets.

Market implications and expansion trajectory

Ontario’s regulated iGaming sector has demonstrated strong growth since its launch, with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario reporting significant operator activity and player engagement.

The province’s framework requires all operators and suppliers to meet strict regulatory standards, including responsible gambling measures and player protection protocols.

BetMGM operates across multiple US states and now Ontario, positioning itself as a major North American operator in both sports betting and iGaming.

The company’s exclusive agreement with Gaming Corps provides a temporary competitive advantage in content offerings before the Swedish developer’s titles become available to other Ontario operators.

Gaming Corps trades on Nasdaq First North Growth Market, giving investors exposure to the company’s North American expansion efforts.

The company recently strengthened its executive team with the appointment of Fredrik Geijer as CFO and Graham Greensmith as CCO, with Greensmith stating the company is “on the cusp of something special” as it pursues growth in regulated territories.

Gaming Corps’ proprietary mechanics and themed content aim to provide distinctive gameplay experiences in an increasingly crowded marketplace. Players accessing Gaming Corps titles through BetMGM Casino in Ontario must be 19 or older and are subject to responsible gambling measures, including access to support services through ConnexOntario.
