  • FanDuel has been named Formula 1’s first official betting operator in the United States, in a multi-year deal announced on April 30, 2026.
  • The agreement integrates FanDuel sportsbook odds into the F1 Betting Guide and betting editorial content across the F1 website and app, reaching 17 million US and Canadian customers.
  • The announcement was timed to coincide with the Miami Grand Prix, the first North American race of the 2026 F1 season.

Formula 1 has named FanDuel as its first official betting operator in the United States, with a multi-year partnership that places the Flutter Entertainment-owned sportsbook at the centre of F1’s digital fan engagement strategy in North America.

A landmark US deal

The agreement, announced on April 30, marks the first time Formula 1 has partnered with a betting operator in the United States. The partnership covers both the US and Canada, giving FanDuel integration of its sportsbook odds into the F1 Betting Guide and betting editorial content across the Formula 1 website and app.

Fans will be able to wager on race winners, podium finishes, and head-to-head driver matchups, with additional markets to be added as the season progresses. FanDuel and Formula 1 will also collaborate on responsible gaming content tailored for F1 fans.

Jonny Haworth, Director of Commercial Partnerships at Formula 1, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome FanDuel as our new Official Betting Operator in the United States and Canada – markets that continue to increase their love and engagement with Formula 1. As sports betting becomes an increasing component with how fans, especially in the US, interact with sport, it’s vital we have a strong and well-placed partner to deliver our strategy and fuel our momentum across the market. With tens of millions of fans across the country, FanDuel is yet another avenue that eligible fans can enjoy and experience the thrill of Formula 1.”

Karol Corcoran, Managing Director of FanDuel Sportsbook, said:

“Being named an Official Betting Operator of Formula 1 marks an exciting step forward as we enhance our sportsbook product to deliver more interactive experiences for fans. Formula 1 generates an incredible amount of real-time data, and our platform is built to turn that into engaging betting opportunities for fans. This partnership will allow us to deliver even more immersive, data-driven experiences throughout the race weekend.”

FanDuel’s expanding portfolio

The Formula 1 deal extends a growing roster of FanDuel sports partnerships in North America. The sportsbook is already an official partner of MLB, the NBA, and the WNBA, and this week also became the first online betting and casino partner of the Toronto Tempo, Canada’s inaugural WNBA franchise.

FanDuel cannot accept sports bets in Florida, where the Miami Grand Prix takes place, but its FanDuel Predicts prediction market platform does offer sports event contracts in that state.

The F1 deal is not the series’ first betting arrangement on the continent. In March, Formula 1 signed a separate multi-year deal with Betway covering Canada, Mexico, and several other global markets. The FanDuel agreement extends that strategy into the US market for the first time.

FanDuel’s parent company, Flutter Entertainment, operates across all 50 states with approximately 17 million customers in the US and Canada combined. Flutter’s full-year 2025 revenues reached approximately $16.38 billion, according to the company’s annual results, with sports betting representing 53% of total revenue.

North American calendar timing

The announcement coincides with Formula 1’s North American swing. The Miami Grand Prix opens May’s racing schedule, with the Canadian Grand Prix at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve to follow. F1 also recently agreed an exclusivity deal with Apple, moving away from traditional broadcast distribution despite record viewership on ESPN during the 2025 season.

For operators and media buyers, the FanDuel integration will be a closely watched test of how in-app, data-driven betting content performs across a live race weekend. As US regulators in several states pay closer attention to in-platform betting integrations, the partnership’s built-in responsible gaming component may also prove relevant as a compliance model for future sports media deals.
