Flutter partners with Alpha Hub and Beyond Sport to launch Tech4Good Awards 2025

Flutter Entertainment has partnered with Alpha Hub and Beyond Sport to launch the Flutter Tech4Good Awards 2025, a global initiative seeking innovative technology solutions that harness sport and physical activity to build healthier, more active communities.

Addressing global inactivity crisis

The awards programme targets the growing issue of physical inactivity, which affects 31% of adults globally who fail to meet recommended activity levels. This widespread inactivity contributes to declining physical and mental health across populations worldwide.

The initiative seeks tech-driven innovations that go beyond addressing physical inactivity, pushing boundaries to create healthier, more connected communities. Flutter and Beyond Sport are searching for five standout organisations using technology to inspire movement, improve public health, and advance community wellbeing through grassroots initiatives or scalable digital platforms.

Application timeline and eligibility

Applications opened on 6 October 2025 and will close on 31 October 2025, with winners announced thereafter. The programme welcomes submissions from organisations worldwide working with any sport or physical activity, including nonprofits, startups, social enterprises, or other mission-driven entities focused on public health.

Eligible applicants must have official registered status and demonstrate at least two years of experience in their technological area. Organisations must maintain an average annual income of at least £40,000 and be able to measure the social impact of their technology use.

“The Flutter Tech4Good Awards reflect our commitment to using technology as a force for good, in line with the ambitions of our Positive Impact Plan,” said Kerry McNally, Head of Communities & Engagement at Flutter. “By backing innovative, tech-driven solutions, we aim to inspire healthier, more active communities and address the growing challenges of physical inactivity.”

Support programme structure

The awards offer £60,000 in total funding alongside a bespoke support programme designed to maximise long-term impact and growth. Selected organisations gain access to expert mentorship, Flutter’s global resources, and the extensive Beyond Sport network to ensure their ideas evolve into scalable, sustainable health solutions.

Winners must agree to participate actively in a collaborative process including networking and capacity-building opportunities centred on using technologies to promote physical activity and health. The programme excludes organisations with existing Flutter relationships and previous Tech4Good Awards winners.

The initiative aligns with Flutter’s Positive Impact Plan, which aims to improve the lives of 10 million people by 2030 through Sport & Play, Health and Wellbeing, and Tech4Good initiatives. Flutter has previously demonstrated its commitment to community support, committing £8 million to UK and Ireland charitable causes in 2023 alone.
