- Fanatics deploys OpenBet Locator™ and Neccton across 23 US markets covering 95% of addressable bettor market.

- Dual implementation completed in record time, setting new industry standard for RegTech deployment.
Fanatics Betting & Gaming has deployed OpenBet’s complete Protect Suite across its US operations, integrating advanced geolocation technology and AI-enhanced responsible gaming tools.
The collaboration covers Fanatics Sportsbook’s presence in 23 US markets, representing nearly 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market.
Dual technology integration
The deployment encompasses two core OpenBet products. OpenBet Locator™ delivers geolocation verification and fraud prevention capabilities designed for regulated US markets. The tool verifies player activity instantly, ensuring compliance requirements are met without compromising user experience.
Neccton, OpenBet’s AI-enhanced responsible gaming and anti-money laundering platform, provides real-time player behaviour analysis. The system uses machine learning to examine player behaviour and transactional patterns, enabling early intervention and supporting regulatory compliance.
Together, these products form OpenBet’s Protect pillar, providing unified regulatory technology and player protection capabilities. The integration enables Fanatics to strengthen its compliance framework whilst maintaining operational efficiency across multiple jurisdictions.
“The OpenBet Locator and Neccton products deliver a secure and frictionless experience for our customers,” said Ari Borod, Chief Business Officer, Fanatics Betting & Gaming.
“When we launched we stated that our intention would be to innovate on the tech side, and we have now delivered two critical integrations in Neccton and OpenBet Locator™ to enhance our player protection framework and our geolocation needs.”
On the other side, OpenBet CEO commented:
“The launch of both Neccton and OpenBet Locator™ with Fanatics Sportsbook represents a pivotal milestone for OpenBet and our Protect product suite,” said Jordan Levin, CEO of OpenBet.
“Fanatics’ collaborative approach and operational agility made it possible to implement two advanced systems in record time.”
Advanced compliance capabilities
OpenBet Locator™ addresses geolocation verification requirements across regulated US markets. The technology provides precision and speed necessary for major betting operators, ensuring player location is confirmed instantly whilst supporting seamless customer experience. The solution helps operators maintain compliance with state-specific location verification requirements.
Neccton’s machine learning technology analyses player behaviour patterns to identify at-risk players in real time. The platform supports Fanatics’ risk-based compliance programme through data-driven insights, enabling the operator to engage with players requiring intervention and maintain regulatory standards.
The AI-enhanced system monitors transactional patterns alongside behavioural indicators, providing comprehensive oversight of player activity. This approach allows operators to detect potential issues early and respond appropriately.
The implementation represents a significant deployment of RegTech solutions in the US market. OpenBet and Fanatics completed the dual integration in record time, demonstrating operational agility in implementing complex compliance systems.
OpenBet’s technology portfolio serves over 200 betting and gaming brands, lotteries, casinos, media companies and tribal operators globally.
Market positioning
Fanatics Sportsbook has established itself as the fastest-growing sportsbook in America. The operator maintains availability to 95% of the addressable online sports bettor market in the US. Fanatics Casino operates online in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The operator runs 25 retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium at Northwest Stadium. Fanatics Betting and Gaming maintains headquarters in New York with offices in Denver, Leeds and Dublin.
The deployment reinforces the growing demand for sophisticated compliance technology in US regulated markets. As operators expand across multiple jurisdictions, integrated RegTech solutions become essential for maintaining consistent compliance standards whilst managing operational complexity.
OpenBet’s Protect Suite addresses this need through unified technology covering geolocation verification, fraud prevention, responsible gaming and AML detection. The platform enables operators to scale operations across regulated markets whilst maintaining robust player protection measures.
