Evoke opens new Leeds office

Evoke plc, the global betting and gaming operator behind William Hill, 888, and Mr Green, has officially opened its new Leeds office in the West Village development.

The new space unites more than 750 colleagues across diverse teams and introduces a cutting-edge broadcast studio set to open in November. This move closes a 20-year chapter at Evoke’s St Johns Centre premises and highlights its long-term dedication to Leeds.

Office relocation and facilities

After over two decades at the St Johns Centre, Evoke has relocated to modern premises in Leeds’ West Village, designed to foster collaboration and innovation. The office spans ground and first floors, featuring numerous meeting rooms, breakout spaces, and a central Townhall area for company-wide events.

Conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from Leeds Station, the office offers access to amenities including cafés, bike storage, an onsite gym, and social areas to connect colleagues.

Broadcast studio

A standout feature of the new office is a bespoke broadcast studio, scheduled to open in November. This facility will enhance Evoke’s existing setup with additional podcast studios and multiple production booths.

It aims to strengthen support for the company’s retail estate and accelerate its wider content strategy by enabling live and recorded streaming both online and in retail outlets.

Leeds, iGaming hub

The move and investment reflect Evoke’s Value Creation Plan focused on fostering a winning culture, offering colleagues an environment that supports connection, creativity, and performance. Most teams will continue hybrid working, using the office primarily for collaboration.

Evoke’s relocation follows similar moves by gambling competitors investing in Leeds, including Flutter Entertainment which opened an office there in 2021. This trend underlines Leeds’ growing significance as a major tech and iGaming hub in the UK. By consolidating operations in a modern, tech-enabled environment, Evoke aims to enhance operational efficiency and innovation, benefiting employees, operators, and regulators alike.
