DraftKings has launched Crown Cash, a new rewards currency built to unify its loyalty program, DraftKings Rewards, across its betting and gaming portfolio.
Announced in an official release today on August 12, the currency displays customers’ rewards value in dollar terms and lets them apply it directly across eligible DraftKings experiences, rather than juggling separate points systems for each product.
One balance, one account
Crown Cash is live now for eligible customers across DraftKings Casino, Sportsbook, Daily Fantasy Sports, Jackpocket and Golden Nugget Online Gaming. It works as a promotional currency, not a withdrawable cash balance: customers put it toward eligible wagers, casino play or other DraftKings experiences from a single account, rather than tracking rewards product by product.
The company confirmed the currency will extend to DraftKings Predictions next, folding its newest vertical into the same wallet. That builds on the Super App plans DraftKings first laid out at its 2026 Investor Day, where executives detailed a single account and wallet bringing Sportsbook, Predictions, Casino and Lottery under one roof.
Shawn Henley, Chief Customer Officer at DraftKings, said:
“By pairing flexibility with personalized benefits and unforgettable experiences, we’re delivering a loyalty program that recognizes customers in meaningful ways. DraftKings Rewards and Crown Cash make it easier for customers to see and use the rewards they’ve earned across our platforms, bringing greater consistency and connection across DraftKings.”
Same tiers, sharper perks
The five-tier ladder stays intact: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Onyx, with benefits scaling at each level. Tier status still unlocks personalized promotions, curated offerings, and the travel and hospitality perks DraftKings has leaned on to keep high-value customers engaged.
What’s new sits on top of that structure. Casino Weekly Bonus Back, a Birthday Bonus and Crown Cash Boosts join returning staples like Elite Rewards and Milestone Rewards, which still run on Tier Credits behind the scenes. DraftKings also used the relaunch to resurface its responsible gambling tools, pointing customers toward deposit limits, cool-off periods and self-exclusion.
Why now
The timing is not incidental. DraftKings just closed a second quarter in which handle hit a record $13.1 billion, up 15% year on year, yet revenue slipped 5% to $1.44 billion as bettor-friendly outcomes ate into hold, part of a stretch where World Cup betting weighed on the operator’s Q2 profit. A cleaner, unified rewards system is a low-cost way to keep customers engaged while the core sportsbook business works through a rockier margin picture.
It also lands as DraftKings pushes deeper into prediction markets through its own exchange, DKeX, competing directly with Kalshi for the same customer attention.
Core sports betting is still doing plenty of heavy lifting too: DraftKings and FanDuel just drove a record July for New York sportsbooks. Crown Cash gives DraftKings one more lever to keep bettors inside its own ecosystem as competition intensifies on every front.
