Bragg Gaming Group has confirmed that hackers successfully accessed its internal computer environment during a cyber attack discovered on 16 August 2025, joining a growing list of gaming companies targeted by cybercriminals.

The Toronto-based igaming supplier detected the breach early Saturday morning and immediately implemented defensive measures whilst engaging independent cybersecurity experts to contain the incident.

The company’s investigation determined that hackers gained access to Bragg’s internal systems but found no indication that personal information was compromised during the intrusion.

Despite the breach, Bragg maintained full operational continuity throughout the incident, with no restrictions on accessing company data or disruption to game delivery across its casino partner network.

“There continues to be no indication that any personal information was affected and the breach has had no impact on the ability of the company to continue its operations,” Bragg stated in its latest update on the incident.

The company has since provided assurances to customers regarding the security of its game titles and reported no negative impact on revenue or profitability from the cyber attack.

Bragg’s preliminary investigation concluded that the data breach was confined to its internal computer environment, preventing hackers from accessing sensitive customer or personal information.

The company worked closely with cybersecurity specialists throughout the response process, following industry best practices to assess and remediate the security incident.

Gaming sector faces increasing cyber threats

Bragg’s cyber attack highlights the growing threat landscape facing gaming companies, following recent incidents at major industry players including Australia’s Ainsworth Game Technology and International Game Technology.

The gaming sector has become an attractive target for cybercriminals, with MGM Resorts suffering one of the industry’s most high-profile breaches in autumn 2023 that resulted in over $100 million in damages.

The timing of Bragg’s incident came just days after the company reported strong financial results for the second quarter, with revenue rising to €26.1 million driven by proprietary content growth.

Bragg serves over 200 customers across North America, Latin America and Europe, and deliveres content to casino giants including Caesars Entertainment, FanDuel and BetMGM.
