Aristocrat appoints new leadership for Interactive division and corporate affairs
- Moti Malul steps down as CEO of Aristocrat Interactive with Dylan Slaney appointed as his successor from November 2025
- Natalie Toohey departs as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer after seven years, replaced by Barry French in an expanded role
- The leadership changes support Aristocrat’s strategic focus on accelerating growth in iGaming and strengthening global marketing capabilities
Aristocrat Leisure has announced significant leadership changes across its Interactive division and corporate affairs function, with new appointments set to drive the company’s strategic growth plans.
Moti Malul has stepped down from his role as CEO of Aristocrat Interactive and will depart the business in March 2026 following completion of his notice period. Malul successfully led NeoGames through its acquisition by Aristocrat and oversaw the creation of the Aristocrat Interactive business over the past 18 months.
Dylan Slaney, a seasoned iGaming executive with over ten years of global leadership experience, has been appointed to succeed Malul as CEO of Aristocrat Interactive, with his appointment effective from 3 November 2025 subject to regulatory approvals.
Slaney brings extensive sector expertise, having most recently served as CEO of Light & Wonder’s iGaming business. His career includes leadership positions at NYX, SG Digital, and others. The incoming CEO holds a first-class honours degree in Business Studies from the University of Derby and will be based in London.
Croker highlighted Slaney’s potential impact on the Interactive division, noting his “deep iGaming experience and track record of operational delivery will help us accelerate momentum in Aristocrat Interactive, including building on our market-leading position in iLottery, in line with our strategy”.
In a separate appointment, Barry French has been named Chief Corporate Affairs & Marketing Officer in an expanded role, replacing Natalie Toohey who is leaving after almost seven years with the company.
French brings over 35 years of leadership experience across telecommunications, transport, aerospace, defence and technology sectors, with previous roles as Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Inmarsat and Nokia. French will be based in Las Vegas and has assumed his duties immediately.
Both new appointees will report directly to Aristocrat Group CEO Trevor Croker and join the Executive Steering Committee. The leadership changes come as Aristocrat begins a new fiscal year and seeks to accelerate delivery of its strategic objectives.
The CEO also expressed gratitude for the departing executives’ contributions.
“I want to express my thanks to Moti for his leadership through a period in which we brought together multiple teams to create Aristocrat Interactive, put in place an ambitious Group growth plan and took foundational steps towards its delivery,” Croker concluded.
“I also want to thank Natalie for her outstanding contribution. Natalie transformed our Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations capabilities and impact globally, while deepening vital stakeholder relationships and playing an important role in the resilience and growth of the business over a sustained period”.
“As we begin a new fiscal year, I am pleased to share two leadership appointments that consolidate the strong progress we’ve achieved and will help Aristocrat accelerate delivery of our strategy,” Croker said. “I am delighted to welcome leaders of the calibre of Dylan and Barry to the Aristocrat executive team. Both are values-led leaders with collaborative and customer-centric mindsets”.
Share prices for Aristocrat Leisure Limited fell 3.97 per cent on the ASX on Friday, closing at A$67.47 per share, making it one of the worst performers in the S&P/ASX 200 Index following the leadership announcement.
