AffPapa has named Nordic Partners Gaming (NPG) as Strategic Esports Partner for AffPapa Conference Cancun 2026, the organizer announced, adding a dedicated Esports Zone to the show floor when the conference runs in Mexico from November 23 to 25.
Esports on the floor
The Esports Zone will give attendees hands-on access to competitive gaming throughout the three-day event, rather than treating esports as a side-stage topic. NPG professional player and streamer FreeZe will join the team on-site, and visitors will get the chance to play against him directly.
Fabian Broich, Director of Nordic Partners Gaming, said:
“AffPapa Conference Cancun gives us a great opportunity to bring esports directly into an iGaming environment and create something people can actually take part in during the event. Having FreeZe with us makes the activation much more authentic. Attendees won’t just be watching from the sidelines; they’ll have the chance to get involved and play with a professional player themselves.”
Further details on the Esports Zone setup and NPG’s on-site schedule are expected closer to the event.
From CS2 roster to iGaming bridge
NPG is a relatively new entrant to the industry. Nordic Network Ltd launched the Malta-based company in July 2026, acquiring the Andorran Counter-Strike 2 organization AM Gaming (also known as Achieveminds) and rebranding its roster under the NPG name. Broich has said the squad climbed from outside the world’s top 200 into the top 60 in the months before the deal.
The Cancun sponsorship builds on a broader tie-up between Nordic Network and AffPapa, struck earlier this year, that spans media, events, and content across both companies’ networks. NPG was designed to connect esports organizations and gaming creators with licensed iGaming operators, drawing on Nordic Network’s existing affiliate marketing arm, Nordic.Partners.
Yeva Avagyan, Head of Commercial at AffPapa, said:
“We’re excited to have Nordic Partners Gaming bring esports to AffPapa Conference Cancun. The Esports Zone will give attendees something a little different to get involved in, and with FreeZe joining the NPG team, they’ll have the chance to play alongside a professional player. It’s a fun addition to the event, and we can’t wait to see everyone join!”
Filling the Cancun roster
The Esports Zone adds to a sponsor list that has been building steadily for AffPapa’s second Cancun edition, the first dedicated iGaming conference held in Mexico.
AffPapa is targeting around 600 delegates, and has already confirmed SPRIBE as Premium Sponsor and Peaky Ads as its podcast partner, alongside a wider run-up that has included speaker applications and a beach-club pool party.
Team-owned esports activations remain uncommon at affiliate-facing iGaming events, where sponsorship has typically meant drinks deals or networking tie-ins rather than a competing roster on the exhibition floor. NPG’s Cancun booking gives it an early test of whether that format draws a crowd beyond its own esports fanbase.
