UAE Lottery launches Pick 4 daily draw, offering residents more chances to win

The UAE Lottery has launched Pick 4, a new daily draw game that gives residents the chance to win up to AED 25,000 (€5,800) for a AED 5 (€1.16) entry. UAE Lottery is the first and only regulated lottery in the country and was launched in November 2024.

New daily draw expands lottery portfolio

Pick 4 allows players to select a four-digit number between 0000 and 9999, with draws held every evening at 9:30pm. Ticket sales close two minutes before each draw, at 9:28pm, with sales for the next draw opening immediately after the current draw ends, according to Khaleej Times.

The lottery has also expanded its distribution. UAE residents can now buy tickets at three petrol stations in Dubai, making it convenient for local commuters: ADNOC 462 – Jebel Ali, ADNOC 529 – Al Quoz, and ADNOC 535 – Business Bay.

Pick 4 gameplay mechanics

The game offers five prize categories based on matching combinations and order requirements. The top prize of AED 25,000 (€5,800) is awarded for matching all four digits in the exact order they are drawn.

Additional prizes include AED 6,000 (€1,390) for matching any combination of three identical digits and one unique digit, AED 4,000 (€928) for matching two pairs of identical digits in any order, AED 2,000 (€464) for matching one pair and two unique digits in any order, and AED 1,000 (€232) for matching four unique digits in any order.

Players can choose between two play types when entering Pick 4. The “Exact” option requires numbers to match the winning sequence in the precise order drawn, while the “Any” option allows prizes for matching numbers in any order.

“Pick 4 is all about offering more choice, bigger daily prizes, and a fun, easy-to-play format,” said Bishop Woosley, director of lottery operations at The Game.

“The launch of Pick 4 complements our existing Pick 3 game by diversifying our daily draw options and delivering more opportunities to win – all while upholding our commitment to a safe, secure, and fully regulated player experience”.

UAE’s regulated lottery landscape

The UAE Lottery represents a historic milestone as the country’s first regulated lottery operation, officially launching on 27 November 2024 under the management of The Game LLC.

The operator received its licence from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) in July 2024, marking a shift toward legal, regulated gaming activities in the Emirates.

The UAE’s regulated lottery system has attracted international attention, with the UAE Lottery joining the World Lottery Association to align with global integrity standards.

The inaugural Lucky Day draw on 14 December 2024 featured a grand prize of AED 100 million (€23.2 million), with tickets priced at AED 50 (€11.60).

The lottery’s establishment follows the creation of the GCGRA in September 2023, which ended the operations of previously unlicensed lotteries including Mahzooz and Emirates Draw.

Veteran regulator Kevin Mullally leads the GCGRA with over four decades of regulatory experience, guiding the UAE’s lottery sector toward transparency and robust oversight.
