Instant Win Gaming has secured a long-term contract to supply eInstant games to the Kansas Lottery, expanding the supplier’s North American presence to nine US lottery jurisdictions.

The agreement, announced on 8 January, positions IWG to deliver a portfolio of eInstant games through its InstantRGS remote game server. Kansas represents IWG’s 33rd partnership with a NASPL or WLA-member lottery globally.

Retail scratch mechanics reimagined for digital channel

The Kansas partnership centres on translating classic retail scratcher mechanics into digital-first experiences. IWG will provide a regular cadence of high-performing eInstants designed to replicate familiar scratch-off gameplay within the lottery’s online environment.

IWG’s InstantRGS is already integrated with the Pollard Catalyst™ platform, which Kansas Lottery uses for its digital infrastructure. The integration was completed within weeks due to Catalyst’s cloud-native architecture and collaboration between both technical teams, enabling low-friction technical onboarding for Kansas.

Kansas Lottery launched its iLottery program in early 2025, making the IWG agreement a key expansion of its digital games offering through third-party content.

Supplier focuses on proven mechanics and engagement

This is another important milestone for IWG as we continue to support the growth of iLottery programs across North America,” said Jason Lisiecki, Executive Vice President at IWG.

Kansas Lottery’s strategic focus on bringing proven scratch mechanics into the digital channel aligns perfectly with our leadership in this space. We look forward to delivering a steady stream of compelling eInstants tailored to Kansas players, and to helping the Lottery scale engagement in the months ahead.

Stephen Durrell, Executive Director at Kansas Lottery, added:

“As we evaluated partners for our long-term eInstant strategy, IWG stood out for their willingness to embrace our specific game requirements and their ability to consistently deliver highly engaging content within the boundaries we set.

“Their experience transforming retail scratch styles into successful digital formats made this partnership an easy decision. We’re excited for Kansas players to experience the depth and quality of IWG’s portfolio.”

IWG expands US lottery footprint

IWG develops more than 300 new instant games annually for its global lottery customer base. The supplier positions itself around converting retail scratch game formats into digital equivalents that maintain player engagement whilst driving online sales performance.

The company operates its InstantRGS from data centres in the UK, Gibraltar, Canada and North America, delivering content across multiple regulated jurisdictions. IWG’s library covers themes and mechanics designed for adaptation into eInstant or instant win programmes.

With 20 years’ experience supplying digital instant games to lottery organisations, IWG maintains partnerships across North America, Europe and other WLA-member territories. The supplier provides end-to-end solutions covering eInstant development and portfolio management for lottery operators transitioning retail mechanics to online channels.

Kansas Lottery’s iLottery expansion follows broader US lottery sector movement toward digital sales channels, where operators seek third-party content to complement proprietary game offerings.

The Kansas programme joins established iLottery operations in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and other states where digital instant games generate revenue alongside traditional retail scratch-offs.

IWG’s ninth US lottery partnership reinforces the supplier’s positioning within North American lottery digitisation, where jurisdictions increasingly license online instant game content from specialised developers. The Kansas agreement follows IWG’s existing relationships with US lottery operators seeking to replicate retail scratch game engagement in digital environments.

The InstantRGS platform enables lottery operators to deploy eInstant games without developing proprietary digital instant game engines, instead licensing pre-built content adapted to jurisdiction-specific requirements and regulatory frameworks.

IWG’s roadmap for Kansas will emphasise familiar retail scratch mechanics translated into online gameplay formats designed for player retention and repeat engagement.
